Just stayed a night at the Horon hotel after trekking in the Kackar mountains for 3 weeks, and arriving in Trabzon one night earlier than we anticipated. We have been wild camping and staying in rural pansyions for 3 weeks and prior to that a boutique hotel in Istanbul. We are now in a 4 1/2 star hotel we had... More

I stayed here for two nights in June 2015. I can find very little to fault about this hotel. The room was modern and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good (coffee average). Service was friendly and polite. Wifi was good enough. The location is great with dozens of cafes and restaurants within a few minutes' walk.

There are only two things that are good about this hotel - the location and the kebap shop across the road. Other than that, there is nothing much to recommend. The rooms were clean, though the view from our window was of the taxi company next door. The breakfast was not very tasty. The tea tasted like it had been... More

Found this hotel on Trip Advisor. It is a block away from Ataturk Park (definately a must for people watching, families, chatting old men and young men impromptu dancing. Pedestrian mall street shopping. Lovely coffee houses on the 4 floors of buildings near the Trabzon Museum---everything in walking distance from this sweet hotel. The room was small but had a... We went there for a football game. The hotel is nice, ideally located, the main square is only 20 metres away, supermarket across the hotel, lots of restaurants near. Rooms are very clean, just a bit small. A good breakfast. Only downside is that the staff speaks little to no english, but still they try to help a lot. All... More

We stayed at the Horon Hotel for four nights after spending three nights in a budget hotel. The first night in Horon was awful because of a sewage smell in the bathroom which seemed to get worse overnight. The next day we were given another room overlooking the Black Sea which was very nice. The rooms are clean and well... More

We stayed at the Horon hotel for just one night in August, having read the reviews on this site.We agreed with many of the views mentioned already. The staff were quite friendly, rooms clean but definitely small with too much furniture in them for the space. The bathrooms were fine, very clean with lots of hot water. We didn't take... More

Horon Hotel is perfectly located close to main square. Rooms have been renovated but are extremely small and the hotel is without any charm. Breakfast is not good either. Prices are very high compared to what you get. It is true that Trabzon hotels are not cheap especially in August, but I was disappointed after having read enthusiastic descriptions in... More

This hotel is in a great location - 5 minutes walk from the Black Sea and 1 minute walk from the main town square where there is a lot happening - restaurants, cafes, nice park and generally nice area. The hotel itself is clean and efficient. Rooms are small but adequate and there is the usual Turkish breakfast available in... More
