We spent 4 nights in this hotel as a base for our trips in northern Turkey before heading to Istanbul. The hotel was average, with modest rooms and breakfast. Rooms were ok though, with fairly good wifi and a small LCD TV. Bathrooms were not bad and clean. Tea and coffee facilities are present as well. The rooms are quite old and should be refurbished soon, but I think they already have better rooms, probably the ones with a sea view. The staff were friendly but usually couldn't speak english. The location was not very close to citycentre but taxis are not very expensive. There's a supermarket very close to the hotel and they have quite everything from groceries to fruits. Maybe it's not the best hotel in town but for a budgetary hotel it's not a bad choice.

Aksular hotel is highly recommended , with its lovely staff, highly responsive housekeeping, delicious breakfast and surly their generous reception staff Restaurant Breakfast has various choices and suits almost all guests Despite different nationalities, fresh and well prepared . It has really a good location and attractive restaurant view. Unfortunately we can hear other rooms’ sounds .. In general it was a good choice for our staying at Trabzon .

The location is good, breakfast is acceptable but it’s the same every day. Employees are all very nice and helpful, from cleaning ladies to restaurant staff to reception. The rooms are small and lack basics, the shower does not have a door so water leaks everywhere and the bathroom is really small.

I do not seem to be able to rate this hotel easily. We arrived at about 4:30 in the morning, we were tired and just accepted the room they gave us. It was horrible. Too small, with a small bed, no cupboard, and the quilt without a cover. The bathroom was so tiny, you have to walk sidewise to reach the shower box. The soap holder was so dusty as if it was not cleaned for weeks. The soap itself was soggy in its wrap. I felt the room was abandoned for quite some time. The next morning we asked for another room and we were given a proper, more spacious, cleaner, and well-kept room. Even the view was better. It was not a sea view, but at least it was not overlooking other buildings balconies and courtyard. In a nutshell, even-numbered rooms overlook the courtyard and odd-numbered rooms have a sea view or a city view. The breakfast was ok, but boring when you have to stay for a whole week. The location is so convenient, and the hotel provides help to get a taxi or getting the right but to go meedan (city center).

Mr. Murat bay is a very intellegint and dynamic employee as well as Miss Suphi. He speaks ecxellent English. The hotel is a normal standard hotel, the rooms are wide and clean, two lifts available, open buffet breakfast with alot if choices. You can ask your travel agent for extra lunch or dinner very nice food of your choice. Excellent internet. The staff were very nice. You may plan a tour visit to alot of places from morning and come back same day. Good choice I will stay there again next visit.

We stayed in room 307 which was situated toward the back of the hotel overlooking an empty lot. This made the room very quiet. There were plenty of electrical outlets to plug in our devices. The bathroom was large and had enough room to put out my cosmetics. The water was hot and plentiful with very good water pressure. The breakfast buffet was huge and tasty. WIFI was good. The hotel is on a major thoroughfare, but has lovely views of the Black Sea. There is a little market about two blocks to the left as you go out of the entrance.

Budget hotel with front facing rooms looking across busy road at Black Sea. Rooms are spacious although spartan. There is quite an array of choices in the breakfast buffet. Wifi is good only in the back rooms and virtually nonexistent in breakfast restaurant. While staff appear competent, very limited English is understood so patience is a virtue. Very clean, close to market, but lacks the vibrancy found in town centers. Would recommend as a arrival, departure, or jumping off point.

Having come from Erzurum, where i stayed in an awful 3 star hotel, i was fearing the worst as i approached this 3 star hotel in Trabzon. However, i was pleasantly surprised. My room was clean and light with a window overlooking the Black Sea (there are not many hotels in Trabzon so close to the sea). There is a busy highway outside the hotel but the noise didn't bother me. The hotel is located away from the city centre but is only 10 minutes walk from Aya Sofya mosque (most interesting sight in Trabzon) and there are small shops and restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was a buffet with all the usual Turkish ingredients such as cheese, olives, honey and bread. For the price i paid i thought this hotel was excellent value for the night.

Nice clean rooms, dresser, writing table, fridge, regular size shower, 2 full size beds with AC and heat and elevator. Breakfast was ok but not great. The hotel is located just across the street from the Black Sea and has views from the restaurant and rooms.
