I'm not sure what more I can say about this unbelievable place that other travelers haven't already other than to agree wholeheartedly and encourage anyone traveling to this area to choose Dikencik as their place to stay. Without a doubt the accommodation is spectacular- not too far from the city, but far enough away to be completely at peace- but... More

Dikencik cottages is one of the most idyllic getaways that I have had the pleasure to stay in. Perched on green mountains in the midst of nature in all glory is this wonderfully done up place. Ayse and Cengiz, the hosts will shower you with such genuine warmth that can only be seen between friends and family. They will leave... More

When our guests leave Dikencik we feel sorrow as if our friends leave us alone here in mountains and we are not certain we will have any chance to see them again. We don't feel ourselves as a small hotel owners serving guests but sharing a life with our friends. If our guests are young, this sorrow is more deep... More

Dikencik Cottages are placed in the middle of breathtaking forest nearby a lowly small town called Yeşil Üzümlü, about 15 km inside the land. Many different walking tours for observing forest flora or climbing to rocky sepulcher and rough walking/climbing exercise to ancient Lycian city Cadianda are activities possible while staying in these very comfortable cottages, nicely decorated wooden houses... We were happy to see our fellows from Istanbul after such a long time... We shared our life ,experiences and dreams during their stay. We hope they will start a new life in the forests of Iznik as they planned and taken the first steps to start it in ashort time. We hope to visit them in their new place.... More

This is probably my favorite place I have stayed in Turkey, perfect for a quiet, relaxed vacation in the country or as a base for exploring the villages and sites in the Fethiye area. It is easily accessed from Fethiye (car is best, but a dolmus runs to the village of Yesil Uzumlu nearby, about a 30-minute ride) but is... More

Neither words, nor pictures do justice to this spectacular cottage, clean and peaceful and the mountain top view! The couple who run it - Ayse and Cengis are delightful, as well as great conversationalists. They prepare such fabulous meals - with fresh fruits and vegetables from their garden- that it spoils the rest of your journey; no other meals we... More

I stayed at Dikencik Cottages (Dikencik Evleri) for three nights in August 2011. What a wonderful experience! This is actually a guest house rather than a hotel; there are two houses, with owners Ayse and Cengiz in one house. The guest house we stayed in was beautifully decorated and sparkling clean, yet maintained a comfortable, homey feel; it reminded me... More

This was our second time at Dikencik. This time we spent a week at Dikencik cottages with extended family members. From the moment we stepped on the grounds until we left we felt as if we were in paradise. Ayse and Cengiz and the volunteers made us feel at home. The location of these cottages is just wonderful right smack... More

We were planning to stay at Dikencik Cottages only for 3-4 days and continue our vacation on the seashore but we could not leave the place. After driving on crooked dirt roads up hills and getting the feeling that you are leaving civilization behind you find yourself at two stone-houses in the middle of the wilderness. It is like an...
