I'll third the comment about the owner being a turnoff. We also decided not to hold our wedding reception here because of her. We had a couple of ideas about how we wanted to do things, and she immediately started to change them without compromise. It's not the bride's day, it's her day. Apparently your wedding day will be HORRIBLE... more

The Appel Inn gave us our dream wedding!! At first glance the site may seem a little disheveled depending on the time of year you go to look. But believe me when I tell you the owners know how to put on a beautiful wedding and every detail of our day was absolutely gorgeous and flawless! Even our guests raved... more

When we considered this place, it looked nice from the road. But the view of the mess in the study of the house was the first indicator. The driveway is unpaved, which is workable, but the potholes were ridiculous. Seems like there'd be enough parking though. The building is nice enough, but the kitchen is full of dirty coffee mugs,... more

The space was very lovely but the owner was a complete turnoff. Not only was she not helpful in trying to make our wedding dreams a reality, but she actually ridiculed our ideas. It was a very unfortunate experience. more
