We stayed here in a family room (with interconnecting second bedroom) for one night only before our Nemrut Dagi tour. Wow I wasn't expecting such a clean, renovated hotel. Very comfortable and relaxing. Nice breakfast selection and nice staff. When I tried to book via email from Australia they didn't respond to my emails (not sure if English or admin... More

A clean, functioning Hotel is a rare thing, but one in the centre of all things that represents the town or city, is brilliant to find. The Buyuk Otel is modern, clean, friendly(minimal English spoken), not too büyük(big), not too small, with a working lift, nice Turkish breakfast & brilliant location. (Note. The windows are sound deadening, to lessen the... More

Given that we paid just 30 euros each for a single room, I was not expecting much. As it turned out, the hotel was a wonderful surprise. The rooms look as though they have been renovated very recently and are extremely comfortable, complete with flat-screen TV. The wi-fi worked perfectly. Erhan - the English-speaking manager - is a lovely man... More

We reserved a double room for my wife and I. We got a large, cool, comfortable 2 bedroom suite. The bathroom and the shower were the nicest and largest of the entire month-long trip (bigger than the Comfort Inns where we usually stay in in the US, bigger than the 3 times more costly Titanic Port Bakirkoy near the Ataturk... Heidi und Ulrich Under all aspects wonderful hotel on best place of town. Staff is very helpful though only one staff member is speaking English fluently - Erham Ertem. Good advice for Nemrut Dagi trip as well as for any other topics. Malatya is one the most pleasant cities we visited on our journey from Istanbul to the Iranian border.

Guido and Sandra Great Hotel in the right location, in the very center of the Apricots City. Friendly place, very confortable, clean, good breakfast, fair price. Above all a professional staff. Manager Erhan Ertem speaks a fluent English and is very helpful in all manners, being really knowledgeable of his city, from the best apricots to carpets and kilims.

We stayed for one night, our two kids had a separate room connected to ours. The rooms are modern and excellent value for the price. Breakfast was also ok. I could also park my car directly in front of the hotel, in view of the reception. The hotel is basically in the middle of the city centre, so an easy... More

Lovely place. Recently re-furbished. Great staff, great location. Manager, Erhan, is very helpful and speaks good English. He knows all the best places to go. Ask him about rug shops. He is an expert on old stuff, kilims and rugs, having run a shop there for years. Now he applies his considerable abilities to the hotel trade. Also he knows... More

I visited Malatya on my first trip to Turkey with no idea of what to expect. My friend and I chose the Buyuk Hotel out of the lonely planet, and we couldnt have been luckier. Located directly in the heart of the city with a view of the main Mosque and in front of the market, it was a perfect... More

Should you find yourself in Malatya, the 'apricot' capital of the world and gateway to Nemrut Dag, reserve a room at this modern, comfortable and friendly hotel. Ask for Mr Erham Ertem, who speaks excellent English, and will arrange taxis to and from the airport, recommend restaurants and is a fund of information.
