Stayed here for one night as part of a tour group. Great location in the middle of Safranbolu. The hotel is a converted caravanserai so it's full of history. Beautiful internal courtyard and the rooms are the original accommodation which was used by the travellers. Same for the dining room. So it's definitely unique and atmospheric. But the rooms are... I have traveled extensively, near and far, all across the globe, and this is by far the very worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. Starting with unlocking the door to a dark room, moving through a short doorway of less than 6 feet into a pit of darkness with an overwhelming stench of mold and dampness coming from... More

Don't get me wrong. The building is extraordinary. I visited this place for lunch, and it was the worst lunch I've ever had. The starters were outdated, there was mould on the starters, the service was awful; and unfortunately we had to leave the place. Because it was impossible to eat what was on the table. There are lots of... More

This hotel was in the middle of town. Old style, Bedrooms were large and roomy and maintained the traditional look. Bathroom was very small was only downside. plenty of interesting shops nearby hotel and easy to walk around the town.

The hotel is one of the major sites of Safranbolu (tourists are charged to go into the courtyard). The staff was not very helpful when I had a flat battery the next morning- they also gave us wrong information about the opening hours of the Museum (it was closed)- they speak little English. The restaurant was good, not outstanding. The... More

We stayed here as part of our group itinerary. We were given a standard room on the floor. The room is quite small, you really don't have much space to put your things, Unless you want to bring down your things to the basement where the bathroom is located. We enjoyed the hotel location as there are lots of shop... More

Our family of four traveled throughout Turkey. Our night spent at Cinci Han was a memorable one--in fact if our schedule allowed us to we would have stayed another night. The room we had was perfect for the four of us (almost like a two bedroom). The best part of the staying in a historic property like this one is... More

We had a corner room for our family of 4, one kid sleeping in a small room close to bathroom which was in a separate room. The main room was large, sleepin couple and other kid, and still plenty of place. they unfortunately had problems with television but as you are in the midst of the city, there are plenty... More

We wanted to love this hotel, and it does in fact have a number of things to recommend it, chiefly the lovely, authentic, solid-stone, 17th century architecture. It is indeed a lovely place. The problem is that it's also impractical and poorly realized as a hotel. We decided to splurge on the suite--not the "king's suite" which another reviewer wrote... More

You're probably bored of reading reviews about how lovely the Cinci Han is. But it is. You get to stay in a marvellously restored caravanserai for just over thirty quid a night. It feels like a luxury hotel, the staff are courteous, the rooms wonderfully done, the courtyard breathtaking. As soon as we arrived we booked an extra night -... More
