The only thing going for this place is the 5 x 5 square fountain in the breakfast room. Our room on the ground floor was large compared to all the others on the tour bus. Bathroom not for the robust and you have a fight with the shower curtain sticking to your body. I tried to look past this to... More

from the moment we arrived our whole group felt disappointed in the service, which was very unfriendly. The room was not clean, dusty (which I can forgive being it is a old mansion) but the bathroom was not very clean, the supplied products looked dirty & very old & some were part used. The room was very large & reasonably comfortable &... More

Safranbolu is a charming town and unfortunately we were only there one night and didnt have time to explore it well. The old markets were the nicest we saw in Turkey and a lot cheaper than the Grand Bazaar. The hotel did have some charm and was located within walking distance to the old town markets. The bathroom was tiny,... More

Part of a tour stopover. Thank goodness it was only 1 night. I'm all for heritage but I want some comfort as well. Rooms were large but bathroom tiny. Bed was on a lean and looked as it might topple over as same with small table. Breakfast was forgettable. 1 side light in room due to heritage ceiling and not... More

We stayed here as part of a group tour of Turkey. We felt we had finally found the real Turkey, not the tourist Turkey. Our double room had a sitting area as well as a bedroom and bathroom. Furnished in (what appears to be) authentic furniture and rugs, it has an atmosphere that must be experienced to enjoy. Our group... More

We spent a night in this hotel and were absolutely charmed by it. The floors are a bit crickey, but rooms are wonderful. We loved window sits, turkish rugs on a floor, gardens around this hotel. It beautifully blends in with the rest of Safranbolu, the UNESCO Heritage Site. We had dinner in a garden and our breakfast was by... More

What a pleasant surprise! It was a lovely property, and we really enjoyed staying here. The employees were so friendly and the shopping was just walking distance from the hotel. It was a great experience and we lucky enough to have one of the corner rooms - if you can, request for a corner room as it is big and... More

This was a unique place to stay for one night whilst exploring the wonderful heritage town of Safronbolu. Only a short walk brought us into the wonderful local street markets with their local crafts and foods, including their delicious Turkish delight. Our room had 2 double beds and was furnished in traditional decor, but with a very spacious modern bathroom.... More

We stayed for one night at the Havuzlu Asmazlar Mansion in our visit to Safranbolu. It is a beautiful building reflecting the architecture of this Unesco World Heritage village. Our room was in the main buliding on the main floor and was furnished and decorated in its traditional form. It was large, clean and comfortable. The staff were excellent in... More

Safranbolu has many restored Ottoman dwellings. This konak (mansion) is certainly one of the most attractive. My bedroom was large and beautifully decorated in a traditional style, with carpets on the wooden floor and crocheted curtains. It had a brass bed and comfortable seating all around the periphery of the room. The lounge/dining room is unique, with the tables and... More
