We have read about this hotel in one of those irrelevant guides about the Aegean coasts we happened to grab "last thing" in a book store in Istanbul before heading to Izmir. Thanks to a Navi we had no difficulties finding it. Two big stickers at the entrance said "AmericanExpress welcome". We had to pay with a different credit card,... more

The Kismet Hotel is located in a safe, prime area in Izmir. It's blocks away from the seaside Kordon, the elegant shops and cafes of Alsancak and the Kulturpark. The hotel's prices are comparable to other 3-stars in the area. It's a shame that Kismet looks as though it hasn't been renovated in many years. Wallpaper was water stained and... more

I was booked here by local business contacts. Average, clean room, old furniture, but okay. 2nd and 3rd floor seemd to undergo renovation at the time, as the halls there looked like a warehouse.
