We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly recommend the Odyssey. Ersin was extremely helpful regarding bus and train bookings and went out of his way to show us the exact bus stop. The guesthouse is centrally located in the old town, close to the red Basilica and the bus station as well as bakery, supermarket (and halwa shop!) The museum... more

This place is the best I’ve ever stayed, because I felt as I’m staying at home. It’s a well restored old Greek house located in the city center and in the way of Acropolis. Making money is not the aim by Ersin and his wife Nazar, they’re really trying hard to make you happy. The rooms are spacious (Actually, old... more

This place will definitely be the best place you stay in Turkey. Bergama is beautiful and so is the Odyssey. My friend matt and I stayed for 4 days and loved it. It's comfortable, we could cook our own food, the terrace overlooking the town and the hill up to the acropolis is wonderful, and Ersin and his wife are... more

We stayed two nights in this lovely hostel, and so far it was the best accommodation on our ongoing Turkey trip. The house has spacey rooms and is nicely renovated, furnished, decorated and laid out with carpets (take off shoes at the entrance), mostly done by the owner himself. Both Ersin and his wife are very friendly people, and the... more

We booked this B+B due to positive reviews & were very dissapointed. Other reviewers seem to be young romantics, which is fine, but we saw the Odyssey differently & left a day early. On the positive side the owner was courteous, helpful, and the breakfast & the roof terrace was excellent. Their restaurant recommendation was also very good (Saglam next... more

A good peaceful place to stay in Bergama. The Odyssey is located in an old building wich transmits a quiet and ancient feeling. You must leave your shoes in the entrance. The owners are a young couple just married, very reserved and kind. I like the silence, so I like they and the place. The view from the terrace is... more

This place is a slice of heaven for the weary traveller. We felt so welcome and so comfortable here we extended our stay and tipped for the first time in five months of travelling. Great rooms, great breakfast, fantastic location. What more could you ask for! more

Bergama has the air of a village but of bigger size. Multiple shops with traditional goods, nice local restaurants/lokantas (dinners) and a vivid high street. On tops, the Monday market is also quite worth a visit. It is home to Pergamum (mountaintop Acropolis) and other Greek-roman-byzantine outstanding ruins, which are some of the finest to be found in Turkey. As... more
