Ercument, the hotel owner, is warm and welcoming. His excellent English is helpful. The hotel is located on a side street just off the road that leads to the acropolis tramway - a short walk away. My room was spacious as was the bathroom. Both were exceptionally clean. An adjoining property, an old flour mill, is becoming part of the... More

We stayed one night in Bergama so that we could visit the ruins of Pergamum and chose the Akropolis because it is so close to the cable car that takes you up to the top. It was late in the season (late September) and we were almost the only guests. It was too cold to use the pool, but I... More

We chose The Akropolis Guest House as it is close to the ruins of Pergamum. After exploring the ruins in the heat of summer it was great to cool off in the pool at The Akropolis. The rooms were comfortable and we enjoyed our breakfast by the pool. We were an easy walk to the Red Basilica (undergoing major reconstruction)... More

My wife and I stayed at the Akropolis Guest House in Bergama for 3 nights in September and would have stayed longer. Hidden behind high walls and an unimpressive steel door, the Akropolis is not visually or physically imposing. But it is a great place to stay: rustic physically, totally relaxing, and once you become acquainted with it quite romantic.... More

I chosed Akropolis Guest House as place to stay in Bergama - pitstop trip to Bodrum - and we didn't regret any moment. It's about hundred meters from the Basilica and just steps away from the lift to Pergamon, fresh oasis for the hottest summer days. The place is quiet, the rooms are clean, breakfast was great - butt poor... More

When i arrived at this hotel it was hard to distinguish the owner from the guest and this continued to be the case as he lounged around the pool. He has just finished some new rooms. More expensive than the old ones which looked a bit dark and tired. I had a new room. The courtyard needs a clean up.... More

Such a great place...atmosphere, air conditioning (yes it is hot in summer), a small pool for jumping in when you come back from town, dinner if you want it, white wine in the fridge, great concierge in the form of a beautiful, wise looking Turkish woman who will anticipate your needs...and then a five minute walk down to the Red... Inspired by the previous reviews on Tripadvisor, we chosed Akropolis Guest House as place to stay in Bergama and we didn't regret any moment. It was an incursion in the past, when people used construction techniques and architecture instead of today appliances. It was the end of July, very hot weather, our apartment had air conditioning, but we slept without... More

Just at the feet of Akropolis, and at about hundred meters from the Red Hall/Basilica this is the perfect spot to stay in. A green and fresh oasis for the hottest summer days. The place is quiet, the rooms are clean, breakfast was great, its owner is friendly and willing to help you and make sure you have a nice... More

Very casual, in the old part of Bergama, Turkey, this is a relaxed, very relaxed, pleasant guesthouse style hotel. Food available, in addition to breakfast; a small clean refreshing pool, and enjoyable local.
