No beter place to visit the Akropolis then to stay in this lovely hotel. Nice rooms, we had our own terrace, a nice swimming pool after a hot day. In the morning a nice authentic Turkish breakfast, served on the terrace. The hospitality of the owners is great. Advice: have your dinner in Cybele, just 2 streets from the hotel.

We stayed there for two night in April 2015. A very nice and homely place. Near all the tourist attractions. Even if you come by local transport it drops you very near the hotel. Good eating places nearby. The hotel serves good decent breakfast and the lady caretaker is very nice and loving. The owner is also always present and... More

The Akropolis Guesthouse is, according to its charismatic owner Ercument, the first of its kind in the old part of Bergama, situated just a short stroll from the cable car to the Akropolis. Location wise it is ideally placed by a park at the foot of Pergamon. The lay out is much after the style of your ancient roman villa,... More

Stayed here in early March 2015. What did we like? The room, bed, aircon, heater and big fridge was nice. The breakfast was typical Turkish but quite adequate. Location ok - near town and major sites. The lady tried her best to please us. What did we not like? A General lack of attention to detail. A MAJOR problem for... More

Ercument, the hotel owner, is warm and welcoming. His excellent English is helpful. The hotel is located on a side street just off the road that leads to the acropolis tramway - a short walk away. My room was spacious as was the bathroom. Both were exceptionally clean. An adjoining property, an old flour mill, is becoming part of the... More

We stayed one night in Bergama so that we could visit the ruins of Pergamum and chose the Akropolis because it is so close to the cable car that takes you up to the top. It was late in the season (late September) and we were almost the only guests. It was too cold to use the pool, but I... More

We chose The Akropolis Guest House as it is close to the ruins of Pergamum. After exploring the ruins in the heat of summer it was great to cool off in the pool at The Akropolis. The rooms were comfortable and we enjoyed our breakfast by the pool. We were an easy walk to the Red Basilica (undergoing major reconstruction)... More

My wife and I stayed at the Akropolis Guest House in Bergama for 3 nights in September and would have stayed longer. Hidden behind high walls and an unimpressive steel door, the Akropolis is not visually or physically imposing. But it is a great place to stay: rustic physically, totally relaxing, and once you become acquainted with it quite romantic.... More

I chosed Akropolis Guest House as place to stay in Bergama - pitstop trip to Bodrum - and we didn't regret any moment. It's about hundred meters from the Basilica and just steps away from the lift to Pergamon, fresh oasis for the hottest summer days. The place is quiet, the rooms are clean, breakfast was great - butt poor... More

When i arrived at this hotel it was hard to distinguish the owner from the guest and this continued to be the case as he lounged around the pool. He has just finished some new rooms. More expensive than the old ones which looked a bit dark and tired. I had a new room. The courtyard needs a clean up.... More
