We spent 2 nights at Pergamon Pension. We stayed in one of the old rooms and it was fantastic. I have always wanted to stay in an old Ottoman house and am so pleased we finally got the chance. The location is excellent, as its within walking distance of the cable way for Pergamon. The owners are charming and really... More

We stayed at this pension and the room and service was excellent. We were very well looked after by the hosts and the wife was an excellent cook putting on a huge homemade breakfast. We will recommend this place to our friends. Thanks again for your hospitality it made our stay very comfortable.

We were travelling around Turkey recently and lucked out when we got a booking at the Pergamon Pension in Bergama. We quickly discovered we'd hit a winner when shown around the property. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable (ask for one in the older section of the pension) the family that runs the place are all super friendly and accommodating,... More

This may have been the best place I stayed in my three weeks in a Turkey. The ambiance of the old Ottoman house and peaceful courtyard are only the beginning. The host family makes you feel very welcome and comfortable and served me the best breakfast I had in Turkey. It's well located for seeing all the historic sites and... More

Stay in a room with shared bathroom and was very impressed. This house is lovely, especially the courtyard where you can relax with a cay and meet other guests. The owners are really friendly and truely amke you feel at home. The breakfast is delicious and sets you up for the whole day. Try it out, the pictures of trip... More

This place is not a pension. Like the incredible ancient remainings of Pergamon, it is an autenthic treasury. I arrived there in a day of the end of the summer, after a full-day visit to the ancient acropolis of the city. Soon after the entrance it became clear that this was an old ottoman house, with interns in wooden covered... More

The best place we stayed in Turkey!! We stayed a couple of nights here. We got the Metro bus from Izmir which in the day time drops off close to the pension. It's a couple of minutes walk from there and it is sign posted. It's next to the Athena pension. We found it easily enough and it was dark... More

This place was incredible. Felt like I was stepping back in time when I walked through the door. I immediately was offered an apple tea and met some other travellers in the stunning courtyard. Ozden was so helpful and kind! He even gave me a lift to the acropolis chairlift on his motorbike. Breakfast was unbelievable, I didn't have to... More

This pension is truly an authentic semi-restored Ottoman House, in fact, I remember the owner telling me that the room that I was staying at had been there for well over 130 years. After some really hard bargaining, my friend and I managed to get a room at a steal. Overall, although we did not have an attached shower, the... More

The arrival of our stay had a little hick up. We booked a double room with private bathroom and when we arrived there was only a room available with shared bathroom for the first night. Not what we wanted but the owners were very friendly and the room was in the old part of the house with a view of... More
