This small pension offers an interesting selection of rooms, and we chose the loft room that could easily sleep 5. The small but modern bathroom was clean, as was the entire property. Best of all, we could sit in the large back garden with friendly family members and other guests while enjoying the weather and some tea. The location was... More

This hostel was beautiful and right in the heart of Pergamum! The owner made us delicious Turkish breakfast everyday. They restored an old home and it had so much character and charm! Views of the ruins out of our bedroom. This is great for social people as you had communal breakfast. Great for couples, solo travelers or groups. Easy access... More

We got into town late tonight 12:05am on the bus from the direction of Troy. The hotel was good enough to get us a taxi (for 20 lira for the six mile drive into town from the bus stop). I was so tired that I didn't care that the 150-lira room had no shampoo or bars of soap for the... More

I planned to stay a night or two and ended up staying for two weeks. It was such a peaceful place, with endless sunny cool winter days, and such a great location. The pensions central location is great for exploring in Bergama by walking everywhere, the garden looks up to the Acropolis and the owner is a pleasantly cheerful chap,... More

Very nice place in good location, however, the single owner of around 40 years uses his B&B to pursue single traveling women, regardless of age, marital status, looks, etc. After a very friendly and 'nice' welcome I started to get uncomfortable with what seemed too much hospitality and helpfulness. The next day I met another single traveling women who had... More

The owner makes this pension. Sincere and funny, he talks about everything with the guests while sharing the communal breakfast table. Even about his business, for which he is very fond of. The room was small and need some fixes but was OK for two nights. Special nice garden and good home made breakfast.

After reading all of the great reviews, we decided to stay at Athena Pension. It exceeded our expectations. The owner, Aydin is awesome. The place is a converted Ottoman Mansion and is so charming with a view of the Acropolis. The place is immaculately kept and well situated. We stayed two nights. We were only able to have breakfast the... More

As you have probably already read, this is located in a recently decorated Ottoman House. It has a huge grassy yard which provides a beautiful view through the dining room windows. Ayden is an utter gentleman and extremely helpful. We stayed only one night, but he took one of us down to the local fishmonger's shop on his motorcycle and... More

We stayed for two nights with our kids (4 and 6 years) and enjoyed the lovely garden with views of the historic site. The owner organised a fish dinner in the evening and enjoyed playing with the kids. Breakfast was local style but they also had chocolate cream for the children. They have a fridge where guest can store water/milk/fruit.... More

The hotel is located down a small street which at first might make you nervous, but once your inside, there are independent blocks which house your room and bathroom. Loved them, neat clean and absolutely beautiful. The garden at the pension is the piece de resistance, absolutely beautiful with an old wall around the boundaries and when you look over... More
