This is definitely the best place we have ever stayed. The rooms were very comfortable and well thought out (like a light switch which you can switch from your bed!), and the whole place was very clean. I especially loved the courtyard and the extra breakfast/hang out room with books, places to sit, and a wood fire. The host and... More

The Athena Pension really felt like an oasis, tucked away on a quiet side street in Bergama. And it definitely wins the award for best breakfast in Turkey during our recent trip. Aydin is a friendly and generous host, and Melik makes wonderful cakes and savoury pastries, and ensures that guests are happy. Our room was clean and bright, with... More

If your are looking for a place with a lot of heart that will have you feeling like a local in a couple of days this is the place for you. What this B&B lacks in sophistication it more than makes up for in heart. The garden is great. The hammock inspires lazy moods, this is the kind of place... More

What a beautiful family run place at the base of Pergamon. The rooms were spacious and clean. Angel was so lovely and helpful. The cats were a bonus for our son to play with. The garden was a beautiful oasis in which to sit and watch the sunset over Pergamon with a glass of wine. What a treat to be... More

This small pension offers an interesting selection of rooms, and we chose the loft room that could easily sleep 5. The small but modern bathroom was clean, as was the entire property. Best of all, we could sit in the large back garden with friendly family members and other guests while enjoying the weather and some tea. The location was... More

This hostel was beautiful and right in the heart of Pergamum! The owner made us delicious Turkish breakfast everyday. They restored an old home and it had so much character and charm! Views of the ruins out of our bedroom. This is great for social people as you had communal breakfast. Great for couples, solo travelers or groups. Easy access... More

We got into town late tonight 12:05am on the bus from the direction of Troy. The hotel was good enough to get us a taxi (for 20 lira for the six mile drive into town from the bus stop). I was so tired that I didn't care that the 150-lira room had no shampoo or bars of soap for the... More

I planned to stay a night or two and ended up staying for two weeks. It was such a peaceful place, with endless sunny cool winter days, and such a great location. The pensions central location is great for exploring in Bergama by walking everywhere, the garden looks up to the Acropolis and the owner is a pleasantly cheerful chap,... More

Very nice place in good location, however, the single owner of around 40 years uses his B&B to pursue single traveling women, regardless of age, marital status, looks, etc. After a very friendly and 'nice' welcome I started to get uncomfortable with what seemed too much hospitality and helpfulness. The next day I met another single traveling women who had... More

The owner makes this pension. Sincere and funny, he talks about everything with the guests while sharing the communal breakfast table. Even about his business, for which he is very fond of. The room was small and need some fixes but was OK for two nights. Special nice garden and good home made breakfast.
