We have stayed in many hotels in the Small Hotels Guide of Turkey and were looking forward to this one for our last stay on a long road trip. The location is great, (although not easy to find, i.e. could be better signposted ) for anyone interested in visiting the old heart of Gaziantep. Everything was fine until we got... more

A true experience in a city that is yet to be found. This wonderfully historic hotel is in a perfect location to explore the city. The courtyard and the rooms take you back authentically to another era. Timur, the owner, is not only the perfect host but also a wealth of information about Gaziantep, and makes sure that all your... more

The Anadolu Evleri is a wonderful oasis in Antep and worth every penny. The suites are magnificent, and manage to achieve quirky uniqueness while not sacrificing luxury and comfort. The courtyard is a beautiful place to enjoy breakfast in the cool of the morning, or to invite friends for tea in the evening. It is perfectly located in the middle... more

Beautiful hotel, comfortable room, peaceful atmosphere. Made our trip to Gaziantep - which is a lovely city - even better. The staff at the hotel were unbelievably nice and helpful. My friend and I are two adult women who live in Turkey ; but apparently our taxi driver to the bus station was instructed by the staff to see that... more

Spent 4 nights in this hotel as a base for SE Anatolia. The owner Tim,is fluent in English and extraordinarily helpful The hotel is a restored Anatolian house.Because of this it is a bit funky, but that adds to the charm The bathroom was huge and the room a nice size. The air conditioner was awesome(we needed it to be as it hit... more

The minute we read the review of this hotel in Fodors, we knew we were going to stay here, and we were not disappointed. NOTE: Have the hotel owner (Tim) send a taxi to greet you at the airport because you will never find the hotel. I'm glad we did this as I believe the airport taxi drivers who speak... more

We had 2 nights in the Anadolu Evleri regard it as the clear winner amongst all of the places we stayed during a fortnight in Southern Turkey. Thankfully it's not the sort of 'boutique hotel' as described by the previous reviewer. Instead, it is a faithful reconstruction of a traditional Gaziantep house. It has some beautiful bedrooms and extremely atmospheric... more

I’d be hesitant calling this place a boutique hotel. Maybe for the ill-travelled but definitely not for the global traveler. There is no special touch nor any sort of authenticity to label it as a boutique hotel. It’s more like a very old two star hotel in Central or Eastern Europe. Categorizing a hotel as boutique requires world class character... more

We stayed here twice, on our way into and out of Syria. Tim, the owner, is endlessly helpful. His beautiful converted houses surround a courtyard where they serve breakfast and, if you don't want to go out for dinner, they will order in an evening meal - I had a fantastic fish! Or they will arrange a restaurant and a... more

We have just returned from 5 nights at the Anadolu Evleri. The hotel is excellent and we had a great time there. Tim the owner is very friendly and happy to help with anything he can from organising drivers for sight seeing in nearby towns ( we visited Sanliurfa, Harran and Antakya), booking restaurants and local tourist info. Although the... more
