A journey in time - at the historic mansion Asude Konak you feel what life in Gaziantep might have been like a century ago. Hidden behind high walls in a paved narrow street just off the Coppersmiths' Bazaar the little treasure features a typical courtyard and five rather small rooms, all lovingly decorated. Some contemporary benefits have been added (and... More

We were almost the only guests in Asude Konak in early October so dinner wasn't served in house and the courtyard was a bit wet and cool for breakfast. At other seasons, it probably would be a good place to talk with other travellers. The staff we met had very limited English. It was interesting to be in an old... More

The hotel is a traditional house with three guest rooms. The rooms are charming, large in European standard, and have an ensuite bath. There are two seating areas outside the room. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is two minutes on foot to İmam Çağdaş, a great restaurant for kebab and baklava, and a bit further down the... More

We stayed at Asude Konak this past Biyram weekend. It is very easy to find from the havatash office or take a taxi for 10 TL. We had an upstairs room with two beds, a nice bathroom, and two sitting areas outside the rooms itself. The room has a tv, minibar & fridge, wifi, the works, and it is quiet... More

Very cool old mansion converted to boutique hotel. Has an old royal ottoman style feel to the rooms with tons of character and views of the castle. Very clean. Service is very nice although limited English. I believe the owners speak English but were on vacation when I was there. We loved the old city location. Would definitely recommend this... More

If you want to stay in a lovingly furnished guest house, feeling like you've stepped back a few decades in time, as befits a visit to gaziantep, then I can't recommend this place enough. I didn't want to leave my room but forced myself out eventually!! It's beautifully decorated, with lots of antique knick knacks and wooden floors, side panels... More

My husband and I stayed here for our 20th anniversary. Mustafa the manger could not have been any friendlier and helpful. Loved the authenticity of the hotel and the ambience it provided. Most importantly it was CLEAN and SAFE. Will be returning with my daughter in the year 2015...

Wanted to stay here for 2 nights but could only get in for one. Great location small Konak (guest house) reminiscent of a Moroccan Rhiad. Staff were very welcoming and looked after us the whole stay. Rooms very quirky and clean. As a group of friends on a Turkey tour we occupied 2 doubles and a single which meant we... More

Firstly, let me say that the location of Asude Konak is perfect. It is so close to the castle, bazaars, and Imam Cagdas (the best retaurant!). The hotel itself was very comfortable. I had a very big room to myself with a heater for the cold night, big plus. The room had a towel, shampoo and conditioner and the hot... More

We stayed here for two nights in Sept. We had a wonderful time and felt so cared for by the attentive staff, especially Mehmet (don't forget the passports!). We thought the Konak offered a great location, wonderful amenities but most of all the night when we spent an evening with Jale, the owner, her husband, a man from Holland and... More
