The Polat Renaissance is an imposing building with eight floors. In the vicinity of the hotel there is ample free parking. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Erzurum. From the rooms you have views either of the city or the mountains. The center of Erzurum can easily be reached by car. At the reception, there were English-speaking employees.... More

First class accommodation and you can walk out of the hotel straight onto the piste and the ski lifts. Forget Austria, this is the place to go if you want great hospitality, super food and at a reasonable cost.

Large, well-appointed rooms and a decent pool were the top physical features for us at this luxury choice a little outside Erzurum (so maybe not the best choice if you don't have your own transport). The cuisine is excellent and worth a visit in its own right. We enjoyed what were significantly the best buffet dinner and breakfast of our... More

The location of the hotel is fantastic. All of the rooms seem spacious and comfortable, but ask for a room that faces the mountainside if possible. The view is unbeatable. The hotel staff is also great; very attentive and responsive. We loved the breakfast buffet--it was really one of the highlights of our stay. Women's steam room and pool weren't... More

We went for Snowboarding vacation. Excellent shuttle service from and to the airport. Great hospitality. Clean rooms. Food was delicious with around 7-10 varieties for main dishes every meal. If I would go again, I would stay in Polat without hesitation.

The bed was hard, but everything else in the room was pretty nice. Service at the bar downstairs was pretty slow and we even had to cancel one of our orders because it was taking so long. The morning breakfast buffet wasn't anything special, but it was a nice upgrade over most European hotels I've stayed at. The staff at... More

Large, well appointed rooms with excellent views. Very good comfortable beds. Everything in the room and bathroom worked properly. Several English channels on the TV. Very good breakfast, and excellent Dinner Buffet with lots of excellent salads, main courses and deserts. The location is great if you are there to ski, but it is at the edge of the city.... More

We arrived late, cold and tired in the dark. It was a lovely surprise the next morning to see the first snow of winter falling onto the nursery ski slopes in front of our room. This is said to be the best ski resort in Turkey. The spacious twin room was very comfortable, clean and modern, the bathroom well fitted... More

Nice large room with great views over city, wifi, kettle and minibar. Stayed one night as part of a tour (with easternturkeytours.org, by the way, excellent tour). We hit unexpected heatwave so rooms were a bit hot and air con poor, but window opened. Great breakfast selection, expensive drinks, decent pool if you have time.

The rooms are clean, large and perfectly banal - pretty standard fare for a large ski resort hotel. The service was perfectly fine. The restaurant, on the other hand, serves pretty poor food - it wasn't awful but it really wasn't good, just on the borderline of "edible". There is nothing particularly good about this place, it's just not bad... More
