This is a unique place and the owners Arzu & Muammer are the most amazing hosts - warm, welcoming and full of energy and charm! We arrived late at night and they immediately made us feel at home, we were shown to our beautiful room and got served some tea on the charming restaurant terrace. The hotel is so unique... More

We stayed at Melekler Evi in June '14 and we picked it based on the previous reviews left by the guests. The reviews did not do justice to this gem in Urgup. Arzu and Muammer were fantastic hosts and insisted us on treating the hotel as a second home, and we did really feel they meant it. The hotel is... More

Beautiful flower gardens, dining terrace, and comfy room. It is so romantic for couples. The couple who ran it, the chef, and Capkin (resident retriever), were so accommodating and helpful. You can easily chill out on the premises or venture out to do tours of beautiful region. Definitely if return to Urgup, would stay here. A home away from home

Charming hotel, great location, delicious meals, and friendly owners Arzu and Muammar. What's not to love in Meleklerevi! We had a lovely time in Cappadocia thanks in large part to the hospitality of Arzu and Muammer who arranged everything from day trips to balloon rides to an automatic rental car ( one of the two available in Urgup!). We will... More

The Melekler Evi (Angle House) hotel is beautifully designed and decorated. It is short walk to central Urgup, and a great base location for visiting Cappadocia. The owners, Arzu and Muammar, are delightful, well educated, charming people. Cem eagerly performs multiple tasks such as bell hop, bar tender, server, door man, etc with enthusiasm. The staff is helpful in arranging... More

The owners of the Meleklerevi ("House of Angels"), Arzu and Muammar, are great hosts. Consider yourselves lucky if you can eat dinner there, cooked by Arzu. Perhaps the best food we'd had in Turkey. Chem, their factotum, lays out a wonderful breakfast, and on request makes a terrific omelette. Dinners are not served every day, only if there is a... More

The cave hotel is a unique experience, we were made to feel so at home and nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and well provisioned and the food excellent. We could relax in the lounge/dining area or on the terrace and Arzu and Muammer treated us more like friends than customers (until we got the bill of... More

Previous reviews have covered the majority of the details, so let me just reiterate the amazing hospitality experienced during our recent 2 day, 2 night visit to Cappadocia. Muammar, Arzu, and their employees - notably Chem - were outstanding, warm, and welcoming! We enjoyed the cave hotel setting, Cappadocia in general, and notably amazing meals in the wonderful ambience of... More

We stayed at Meleklerevi for 3 nights. The place is romantic and quiet. The proprietors Muammer and Arzu are excellent hosts. They are extremely helpful in helping us with our itenerary. We followed Muammer's suggestions of sites to see and visit and everything was great. The place is only a few minutes walk to the city center of Urgup where... More

This review is full of superlatives because, well, because Meleklerevi is a superlative experience. It is the only hotel I have visited in which I wouldn't add anything and I wouldn’t take anything away. It is perfect exactly the way it is. Hosts Muammar and Arzu (architect and interior designer respectively) obviously love this place and the life they have... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
From the first beating of Angel Wings...The first time we saw this land of beautiful horses, Cappadocia, and its magical fairy chimneys, we knew we had to leave our own mark on this land that has been home to different civilizations for centuries. In Cappadocia nothing is as it seems. We lived this with each throw of the axe and with each stone that we lifted from the soil. As we removed hundreds of cubic meters of dirt from the garden and from the top of the main building, we discovered the remainders of centuries past. ... more   less
