From the moment I stepped through the front door to Meleklerevi I felt transformed back to my grandmother's garden. Our hosts Muammer and his lovely wife Arzu made us feel welcome and tended to all our needs with booking various tours. Our room was very comfortable, clean and had modern amenities. The morning breakfast was fresh and delicious and the... More

We had the most amazing time in Capadoccia and melekler Evi was the highlight of our journey. Muammer and Arzu are an extremely caring and hands on host and even the staff is extremely hospitable, caring and courteous. The place was not only stunningly beautiful (Muammer very gracefully showing us the efforts he had put in building this place -... More

Anyone traveling to Cappadocia has a ton of options for "cave hotels" - please choose this one. It is truly special. The host Muammar and his family designed and built the house themselves, and it is clear how much energy and love has been invested. The entire property inside and out exudes charm and warmth. In terms of practical travel... More

One of the most enchanting places I've been to, the hotel itself (formerly a stable!) is gorgeous, every detail obviously hand-chosen with great care, but we also appreciated the attentions of Muammer, Azur and the rest of the team. Muammer especially helped us out with the details of our stay. We rented a car, went horseback riding, and did a... More

Muammer and team are great, nothing is too much to ask. The hotel is Muammer's "baby" (he is an architect and built it himself) and he takes exceptional pride in it and ensuring his guests have a great stay. His English is good so no issues there, as can be the case in this part of Turkey. The breakfast is... More

This is a unique place and the owners Arzu & Muammer are the most amazing hosts - warm, welcoming and full of energy and charm! We arrived late at night and they immediately made us feel at home, we were shown to our beautiful room and got served some tea on the charming restaurant terrace. The hotel is so unique... More

We stayed at Melekler Evi in June '14 and we picked it based on the previous reviews left by the guests. The reviews did not do justice to this gem in Urgup. Arzu and Muammer were fantastic hosts and insisted us on treating the hotel as a second home, and we did really feel they meant it. The hotel is... More

Beautiful flower gardens, dining terrace, and comfy room. It is so romantic for couples. The couple who ran it, the chef, and Capkin (resident retriever), were so accommodating and helpful. You can easily chill out on the premises or venture out to do tours of beautiful region. Definitely if return to Urgup, would stay here. A home away from home

Charming hotel, great location, delicious meals, and friendly owners Arzu and Muammar. What's not to love in Meleklerevi! We had a lovely time in Cappadocia thanks in large part to the hospitality of Arzu and Muammer who arranged everything from day trips to balloon rides to an automatic rental car ( one of the two available in Urgup!). We will... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
From the first beating of Angel Wings...The first time we saw this land of beautiful horses, Cappadocia, and its magical fairy chimneys, we knew we had to leave our own mark on this land that has been home to different civilizations for centuries. In Cappadocia nothing is as it seems. We lived this with each throw of the axe and with each stone that we lifted from the soil. As we removed hundreds of cubic meters of dirt from the garden and from the top of the main building, we discovered the remainders of centuries past. ... more   less
