I can only add my comments to those which encouraged my wife and I to stay here whilst in Cappadocia. Nothing was too much for the gracious owners and we were even given a lift into the city by Melvut when we decided to try somethng other than the superb home-cooked meals made by his wife Somine the night before.... more

There are two things to take you to Cappadocia – the incredible scenery and a stay in the Assiana Cave Hotel. This small, family-run pension is a delight! The helpful owners, Mevlut and Suna and their staff make their guests feel immediately welcome. They are the most friendly and helpful hosts you can imagine. Whatever you want to do they... more

Assiana is a great family hotel. It has just a few rooms. All rooms have stone walls, the lower floor roos are carved in a mountain (like a cave) and designed in Cappodocia style. The bathrooms were very clean. The terrace is great to have a drink at nights and to have a decent breakfast. Mr. Mevlut and his wife... more

The reviews on Tripadvisor could not be more accurate. What a gem of a place, thanks to the wonderful owners Mevlut and Suna. They were the perfect hosts suggesting all sort of travel tips and helpful advice. The Assiana was gorgeous - very clean and comfortable. The rooms were furnished with real character. There was a wood fireplace and the... more

This is the most wonderful place to stay in Cappadocia. The hoteliers were nice and warm and the cave hotel was impeccable with the cozy towl warmers and the wonderful family suite. It was wonderful and so clean and the breakfast was served like a five star resort. Can't wait to return to Cappadocia and this wonderful treasure. more

In 45 years of traveling around the globe, from the Far East to Europe, there have been three memorable hotels/inns we have stayed in that stand above all others by a huge margin -- one in Germany, one in Japan, and now this one in Cappadocia. As an aside, Cappadocia is absolutely a "must see" destination -- and Assiana House... more

This is a great little cave hotel in Urgup. The rooms are clean and spacious with great character. The owners go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Be sure to try the Dimrit Restaurant about three blocks from the hotel. It is excellent. more

This small family run bed and breakfast is one of the friendliest places we have stayed in. Within an easy walk of Urgup town what it lacks in 5 star frills it makes up in character. The rooms are in a renovated cave with decent en suite showers and the views from the terrace impressive. The breakfast is buffet style... more

Date: 28 September 2008 Reviewer: Dr Jerzy Z. Przybojewski, Cardiologist, Cape Town, Republic of South Africa. A trip to Turkey, a mystical tapestry of great bygone civilizations and fascinating culture, is deeply enriched by a visit to the incredible region of Cappadocia. The Assiana Cave Hotel, nestled on a hill overlooking the ancient town of Urgup, was my wife's and... more
