We stayed in Surban for only 1 night. It was really good place for 10 bikers. Everything was perfect starting from welcome drinks. There was enough space for our bicycles. The rooms were clean and cool enough even in summer time. The breakfast and dinner were excellent. The owners themselves were hosting us and were really helpful to find the... More

My wife and I (we're both 61, both having done lots of world travel in our 39 years together) had a superb experience at the Hotel Surban. Extremely friendly and helpful hosts. Great room. Great food. The hotel owners found us an excellent guide for a daylong visit to numerous fascinating sites in Cappadocia.

Although a fair trek up a hill, definitely worth the walk. The owner, Hilal, greeted us ensuring we were made aware of all the tour options and that he would take care of anything we needed. The actual building was very charming and homey complete with Anatolian textiles and antiques as well as a gorgeous garden to enjoy a post-breakfast... More

We stayed at this hotel for three nights as part of a RSD Travel programme. The hotel is charming and very pleasant. The staff are friendly, attentive and extremely competent. The breakfast was not extensive in scope but it was comprised of good fresh food, which is more important. The evening meal, with four courses, was indicative of Cappadocian cuisine... More

We have just returned from a trip to Cappadocia with RSD travel, who only allocate hotels on arrival, mostly modern resort hotels. Imagine our surprise when our coach stopped outside this lovely stone building, right in old Urgup. Stepping inside confirmed our first impression - it is gorgeous. Kelims & old brassware everywhere & a fabulous lounge with high wooden... More

Apparently a lot of people going to Cappadocia want to stay in a cave hotel but I think this hotel is the best of both worlds. Although not a cave it is built of tufa and has all mod cons. The décor is lovely, authentically Turkish with rugs and artifacts on the floors and walls. The rooms are small but... More

This hotel, although not a cave hotel is very comfortable and decorated with stylish traditional furnishings. but what really made our stay special was the staff - so helpful and friendly but not too familiar. They did their best to go out of their way to help. They gave directions and ideas of things to do. Finally the food here... More

We stayed in surban for 4 nights, we booked this hotel under the impression that it will be a cave hotel but it isn't. Deluxe Rooms are very small like found in hotels in big European cities. Double bed was very small, two people can hardly fit together. Plus points was breakfast, awesome Turkish pancakes, spread was large and delicious.... More

I would like to express my kudos for Surban Hotel in Urgup-Turkey. The staffs are polite and attentive with the guests. The hotel has a good infrastructure and a good location. I cannot forget to say about the excellent traditional Turkish food and of course about the nice room. This hotel has a tourism agency where they can drive you... More
