We have just returned from five nights at the Esbelli Evi in Urgup in Cappadochia. When I read the previous reviews before our departure, I thought if this place was half as good as it sounds, it is about twice as good as we need! Well it is even better! We have stayed at some lovely five star places (and... more

My wife and I spent 5 nights at this property early May 2009. We opted for the garden suite as we decided we would like to both explore the area and chillax in the wondrous suite. I say wondrous because the bathroom was in itself a room as large as most 5 star hotel regular rooms. There was a freestanding... more

My wife and I went on a leisure trip to the Anatolian region of Turkey (Cappadocia), the first week of May 2009. We received many recommendations from friends about the place we should had staid in this region. To give you a brief idea of the geographical landscape, there are 2 main towns which reside close to most of the... more

What a gorgeous place - the ambiance is a bit Turkish but will remind you of New Mexico in the U.S. I love, love the design and layout. You have an amazing view from where you eat breakfast. And breakfast is excellent. The coffee was the best I've had so far. Importantly, the staff were amazing friendly and accomodating. We... more

Exceptional in every way, Esbelli Evi is Turkish hospitality at its very best. We decided to book based on the recommendation of Tom Brosnahan at Turkey Travel Planner, Trip Advisor reviews and comments from several community forums. Suha, its owner, greeted us upon arrival, his quiet demeanour at once friendly and welcoming. We instantly felt at home. This beautiful cave... more

Our stay in Cappadocia was excellent because of this beautiful hotel. Moments after we arrived and put our luggage in the room, Nil sat with us to help us plan our 3-day stay. We splurged and hired a driver for 2 days to drive us to see the main sites in the area. We were able to hike, lunch, and... more

I was at Esbelli Evi in October 2008 for 6 nights with my wife. I choose to stay in this place after carefully reading all previous comments by other fellow travelers. We were not disappointed at all! We had booked a double room far in advance, and once we arrived we were freely upgraded to a marvelous cave suite carved... more

I can't fault this. This was quite simply enchanting in every way... Ok, firstly the rooms. We were in a basic double, and it was wonderful - incorporating the hollowed out cave with a very stylish design. Great bed, large bathroom with double shower, a wardrobe hollowed out from the cave. Also, TV, DVD, wireless etc. The staff - just... more

We arrived in Urgup without any reservation or idea. First stop was Urgup and the Esbelli Evi with Suha showing us the available rooms. To make sure my girlfriend wanted to see more hotels in Urgup so for 3 hours we drove around town to see available rooms . Save your self the same exhausting driving around and just go... more

One of the most interesting hotels that I have been lucky enough to stay in. Lovely breakfast, honour bar for soft drinks and wine/beer, near enough to walk to a nice restaurant and weather permitting (we got caught in a snowy evening) down into Urgup. The hotel was very quiet when we stayed there and I got a chance to... more
