This lovely hotel is voted #1 for a reason. The hospitality here is beyond words. We had a pretty rough transit from Istanbul to Pamukkale to Cappadocia so when we arrived at Hezen we said it was such a relief to finally arrive! When Nie (the female receptionist - could be owner?) saw the huge sigh of relief on our... More

Two thumbs up on this magical spot! I can only echo all the previous raves regarding the beauty of this setting, the unique and comfortable rooms, and the wonderful staff. It was especially comforting to have all the personal assistance in advising us where to go, when, and how. All arrangements were cheerfully made for us, even to the extent... More

This is a beautiful hotel with a friendly staff, beautiful rooms, and breathtaking views. My husband and I stayed in one of the suites, and it completely surpassed my expectations. It was spacious and comfortable with the kind of bed you don't really want to leave! Breakfast was served each morning and was always delicious. One note- this hotel is... More

All of the accolades of previous reviews are well-deserved and more. Our group of six friends booked four rooms at Hezen Cave Hotel during the last week of October. We were welcomed like family and treated like royalty during the entire visit. The staff were especially helpful, both before and during our trip, in planning and booking various activities. Of... Spent 3 days at Hezen Cave in October 2014. Incredible rooms, service and location. Our room(#13) had a direct view of the castle from our living room with a large patio in front. Accommodations were superb, with a shower the size of a small room. Because they are somewhat isolated and the town has few restaurants, I recommend a car.... More

Every review repeats the same awesome litany of praise and it is deserved. This hotel is located in a village not more than a few kilometers from the tourist hoards of Goreme so it is a pleasant and quiet retreat (unless you count the call to prayer from the local mosque. The rooms are true caves but not at all... More

Situated in an unspoilt Turkish village, this is an excellent refuge from the tourism of Cappadocia from which to base your stay, We had the family cave over four nights in August which was stylish, unique and extremely comfortable. Breakfast, when taken on the terrace, is memorable. Everyone at the hotel - from the cleaners, cooks, reception staff to the... More

We stayed here for three nights and had a very pleasant time. Ortahisar is a smaller town than Goreme, so it's slightly more off the beaten track (in a good way!). The hotel faces one of the palace caves and has a great view. The room was very comfortable albeit dark though that is part of the experience of staying... More

Could not have asked for a better place to stay and call home while traveling! The food, the staff, rooms and views were so wonderful. Everything is top quality, but not overdone. Also, every aspect of the hotel is just right- including the heated bathroom tiles! I can't wait to go back...

We were a little worried about staying in Ortahisar instead of Goreme, but I am so glad we chose this hotel. The tourists in Goreme (and many Cappadocian sights) are overwhelming, but this hotel is refreshingly tour group free. The hotel is beautiful, the view is amazing, the breakfast is delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Free... More
