The hotel was kind of a cave room. There were upstairs rooms that had views too. The location of the hotel is excellent. The room was spacious and clean but not especially pretty,,,,well for a cave I guess it was pretty. Breakfast was included and was quite nice. Tea and coffee available all day.The host and his wife were very... More

Great family run business, very willing to help with your activities during your stay. The room was a bit small, but very clean. They have a lovely garden area to sit in, to enjoy a complimentary cup of tea or coffee under well shaded trees or to just sit and read a book. Buffet breakfast is lovely and fresh everyday.... We travelled as a group of 8 people and booked 4 rooms for 2 nights. The rooms were a bit small but very tidy and well organised. There is a small garden with sofas to sit and sip tea. Khadeer is very friendly and made us feel at home by his hospitality. The hotel offers a great view of the... More

I chose this hotel through a recommendation from Duke Dillard's excellent 'Captivating Cappadocia' blog site (http://www.captivatingcappadocia.com/). My initial email to Kadir, the owner, was very promptly and expertly replied to, with relevant answers to all my enquiries. That made me decide to confirm my request for a booking and for help in organising activities for a 3-day visit. A week... More

We stayed here for 4 night in September 2014 and made it our base was exploring Cappadocia. That was a great choice. The hotel owners are really nice and attentive. They are very knowledgeable about the area and help you with any suggestions of things to see, hikes to take, and tours to book. Our room was spacious, clean and... More

We were so glad that we had chosen to stay at Gerdis Evi instead of one of the trendy cave hotels that are being built all over Goreme. Weeks before our arrival Kadir helped us with reservations for an airport shuttle, Green Tour and balloon ride. When we got there he recommended changing our schedule because of the weather forecast,... More

The location of this hotel is great and the staff was very helpful. They set us up with a great balloon ride and let me park our big van in the back. The breakfast was great and the dinner they cooked on request looked great, though we never availed ourselves of this opportunity. In our room there were no fans... More

We stayed 4 nights and really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very comfortable and spotless. The breakfast buffet was excellent and had lots of choice, a great way to start a day of exploring the area. The location was perfect for walking around town, to the Open Air Museum, and to hikes through the Red and Rose Canyons.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2014

Having just spent three nights in early November with Kadir and Shahin (spelling?), I must say that I was very happy with the experience. Their communication via email was excellent, and, as promised, I was picked up at the Nevsehir airport and delivered to Gerdis Evi flawlessly. I was the last of perhaps ten people to be dropped off at... More

We stayed at Gerdis Evi for two nights this October and had a fantastic experience. Location: perfect! Only a five minute walk from the Goreme bus station and most other things in town. Hosts: Kadir and Sahin were wonderful and helped us with our daily planning. They provided honest and thoughtful recommendations - the hot air balloon company and restaurants... More
