Stayed at the Artur whilst visiting the Gallipoli Battlefields. In that respect it's not ideal as you have to get the ferry over from Eceabat (takes about half an hour, approx £8.50) but Cannakale a place worth visiting in its own right and quite different from Eceabat in respect of accommodation and places to eat or drink. The hotel itself... More

Obviously the previous reviewers got the good rooms. My mother and I didn't. Initially we were given a very small room at the back of the hotel without a min-bar and a crappybathroom with a shower recess that needed a stepladder to get in it. Totally unsuitable for an 89 year old woman with mobility issues and needing to store... More

Spent 2 nights here, a nice hotel right in the middle of things on the main boulevard leading to the ferry port just a stone’s throw away. Comfortable beds, unobtrusive and helpful staff. Turkish breakfast, though there were 2 cereal choices. Best scrambled eggs. Had to find way to the back of hotel with the car to unload (just keep... More

This clean, modern hotel is close to the ferries and just across the street from Hassle Free Tours (for Troy and Galipoli tours). Our twin room was a delight - very spacious and with all the amenities including a desk and sofa chair. Breakfast was an extensive buffet and included some hot items - delicious! The staff were friendly but... More

Serves its purpose well, especially location as the 'Hassle Free' tour office is across the road as are the coach companies and ferries. Restaurants galore and the old city. Don't expect pristine/luxury, but it is good value, particularly if you book ahead via Booking.com, etc.

We needed a hotel in Canakkale as a base for trips to area sites like Troy. Based on other trip advisor reviews we selected Artur Hotel. We were delighted with our time here. It is an attractive, clean, centrally located hotel along one of the main boulevards in Canakkale close to the waterfront. The hotel staff are very helpful. They... More

Stayed here whilst we did the Gallipoli tours. Whilst the room was cosy it had everything we needed and very comfortable. We had a great view of the Main Street and loved watching the towns folk going about their every day. The sound proofing on the balcony door was incredible and each night we slept well. Breakfast was very good... More

Clean, good value for money. Great service: we arrived late and they even parked our car for us! Wonderful Cafeteria just in front if the hotel, where we had a delicious dinner . You should try grilled steak. Breakfast was rich and various, high quality food.

The location of this hotel is great. Right on the main street in Canakkale, but just a few strides away from the promenade so its not too noisy at night, and is still within walking distance to all the restaurants, bars and main sites in the city. It is also extremely close to the main ferry terminal. The breakfast is... More
