We stayed one night at the Kolin Hotel as part of a two day, one night tour to Gallipoli and Troy. Provided was a suite with two rooms, separate lounge area and a bedroom with a comfortable king size bed and large en-suite with shower which was a great surprise as we had no expectations on our accommodation for the... We are on a guided bus tour. Our reason for booking this particular Turkey Tour was the fact we would be staying in 4-5 star hotels. We even paid the extra for superior.. The room on 7th floor is large but no facilities in room. No tea & coffee, no clock, no iron, shower head is pretty basic, very small bathroom... More

Just stayed the one night at kolin hotel. Rooms were very nice, ours was huge with a big king size bed and decent sized bathroom. Very clean and awesome views over the dardenelles plus free wifi. The pool area is spectacular. Only let down was the Buffet dinner and breakfast, both were ordinary would have preferred some traditional Turkish food.

our stop in canakkale was part of our tour on the way to troy. we didn't know anything about the place or the hotel that our travel agent had organised but we were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived that we stayed an additional night! the views of the dardanelles are absolutely amazing, which you can see from the pool... The hotel was very nice. It provided a great view over the Dardanelle strait. The room was very nice and the buffet dinner was ok. as was the breakfast. Stunning views of the sunset while at dinner. Supermarket and little shopping area very close, so it was nice to have a wee walk to something close by

After a long day going from Istanbul to Canakkale, a very relaxing hotel was most welcome. The Kolin Hotel in Canakkale provided that. A stunning view of the Dardanelles Strait from our room set the tone for a nice and quiet evening. The large buffet style restaurant where we had dinner and breakfast was fantastic. The entree selections were numerous,... More

Expensive hotel with no complementary coffee or tea . When you come, to a hotel and are tired , you want to relax in your room and make yourself a cup of tea or coffee. Not here all they want is to suck out as much money as they can . No where in my whole travels around the world... More

This hotel is quite a nice one but the thing that lets it down is the housekeeping. Took off my shoes and after having walked around the room during unpacking, the soles of my socks were very dirty from the floor. Breakfast was okay, buffet style.

What a surprise! We were majorly delighted! It was very spacious inside at the foyer area, expanding into a huge bar area, walk through to bistro then onward to the pool area. Heaps of food (buffet style) to choose from - wait staff don't speak English, so asking what some items proved to be a little like a charades game.... More

I made a bus tour that chose excellent hotels in each location, this one was (by far) the worst. The hotel has a nice view of the Dardanelles Strait and it is near the site of the Gallipoli battles in World War I. Next year it is the 100th anniversary and probably a lot of Australians and New Zealanders will... More
