We decided to stay here as a ferry departure point for Gallipoli. The place has been well described up in the many positive TripAdvisor reviews. We stayed in a very nice room with a comfortable double bed at the top of the 3 flights of stairs. There are no rooms available with specific handicapped access. As others have stated, if... More

We hastily booked this hotel at the last minute after reading some recent poor reviews of a different Canakkale hotel we had already booked. We were happy with our decision as Hotel Des Etrangers turned out to be a lovely place to stay. Our room was large, clean and pleasant. Those who are light sleepers should avoid rooms facing the... As others have observed, this is a fantastic gem of a hotel. We loved staying here and would go back like a shot,. Our room was large, clean and nicely decorated, with a well equipped and nicely finished bathroom. The only reason the hotel does not score 5 is that the water in the morning was tepid rather than hot... More

This a charming, stylish hotel. Beautifully run and close to the water, upstairs rooms with balconies are delightful. Breakfast is simple and tasty. The owners have been here for five years and have given the hotel an elegant touch. Will definitely return here as soon as possible...

A lovely place to stay while visiting Gallipoli or Troy. The hotel is located in a classic old building near the harbor, right next to a shop selling the local delicacy peynir helvasi (cheese helva). The fine hospitality, traditional decor, and generous, delicious breakfast made it a standout on our trip. Ask for a room with a sea view (and... More

We absolutely loved this little Hotel. It was more like a small B&B (8 rooms) and having travelled through Turkey for 2 weeks it was a welcome relief to arrive at such a beautifully decorated little hotel. Our room, although quite small, was lovely with a little balcony with table and chairs, which looked out to the busy waterway. The... More

We spent two nights at this hotel for a trip to Gallipoli, the location is great being a short walk to the ferry. We had a very warm welcome from the staff. Parking can be found opposite the hotel or as they advised some private parking nearby which was not expensive. We had two twin rooms which were furnished in... More

Lovely welcome, everyone at the hotel was really helpful and friendly during our two night stay. Our room was on the second floor and had a balcony with a view across the Dardanelles. The room itself was bright , clean and elegantly furnished and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Really good location, near to ferries, coach offices,... More

This had a great location near the ferry (turn right and walk 200 metres and you are there). All the staff are as friendly as you will ever find in a hotel - they just could not do enough to make sure we had a lovely time. The room was spacious and clean and surprisingly quiet.

Staying at des Etrangers was a real treat and helped make our trip to the Gallipoli peninsular a great experience. Our room was very comfortable and in keeping with the historical style of the building and we loved having a little balcony overlooking the waterfront. The staff were great and we were served a delightful breakfast (much earlier than they... More
