We were greeted by very polite and caring staff. Our room was spacious and the amazing Turkish breakfast definitely deserves as many stars as one can give. I am only giving 4 stars for cleanliness not because I'd call the hotel 'dirty' in any way, but the room could be cleaner (ie. the net curtains, and the bathroom surfaces). But... More

Never have we found a hotel in any corner of the world we know that combines a coherent taste (not one given over to decorators) with such lavish attention to detail in the quality of tables in the garden, the bed linens, the wall colors, curtains, rugs, the quality of the porcelain in the bathrooms, the work on the ceilings... Stayed: 4-6 January 2015 After reading a few reviews and seeing the photos of this hotel, I decided to book it for my birthday trip to Bursa, Turkey (before heading to Uludag Mountains). The vintage furnishings I saw from the photos and the overall concept of the hotel made me so curious and interested. I didn't expect too much, because... More

The best of all the hotels I have ever stayed at. Something so unique and enchanting, you will fall in love since the moment you step on the street where the hotel is located. Very nice style where you feel yourself home. Every room has its own design, if I get the chance I would try all of them. Location... More

The staff at Kitap Evi arranged for a driver to meet us at the ferry and bring us to the hotel, and then they arranged for a driver to take us to the bus station when we left Bursa for Bergama. They emailed us prior to our visit to check in with us, and they emailed us after we returned... More

We stayed at Kitap Evi for 2 nights during our recent November visit to Bursa. We felt the prices (25 to 50 Euros) were worth it--in Rome, Athens & Istanbul--to pay for transport from the airport to our lodging. The trips to & from the ferry landing in Mudanya to Bursa were about the same length as those airport transports.... More

An oasis of peace and quiet in the city! The hotel is situated on the top of the old city wall, but I can imagine it would have been difficult to find if we didn't come in a taxi. Great views over the whole city with its mosques and the mountains in the background, and a if you walk down... More

We stayed here for two nights in November, the hotel is small but beautiful. We loved the open fire in the dining room and our room had a fantastic free standing bath and beautiful antique furniture! Breakfast included the works all served to your table and they even arranged a driver to take us to the port on check out... More

We stayed one night in this hotel in Bursa which is situated in the old part of town, not far from the Bazaar. The hotel was very good - in an renovated Turkish house. The service was very friendly and helpful. There were small additional touches such as a chocolate on the tea tray and some lavender under the pillow.... More

We wanted to see the major sights such as the Great Mosque, and at the same time experience a bit of Ottoman life style, so we chose to stay here - and loved it. It is only 300m from the Great Mosque (albeit up a steep hill). It is an old Ottoman house with 10 rooms (we stayed in Room... More
