Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

City's Hill Hotel receives mixed reviews, with guests praising the comfortable beds and the stunning views, which are a highlight for many. However, cleanliness and noise levels in rooms are sources of dissatisfaction. While the staff's friendliness and efforts are acknowledged, there are contrasting reports of rude behavior and uncleanliness, casting a shadow on the service quality. Amenities are another area of inconsistency, facing criticism for maintenance issues. Moreover, many visitors feel the hotel does not provide value for money and are let down by the overall experience.

This is an honest review and I am very fussy. There were 3 disabled with mobility issues,Yes I guess the hotel is a little dated but we did not see thread bare carpets as described by others. The hotel was spotlessly clean, The rooms were clean, beds a little on hard side yet still comfortable, towels and bedding renewed each day, bottled water in room an empty fridge which was great for after sun lotion, there were quite a few loose door handles on balconies. The rooms on 6th floor had stunning views of town and harbour . The food was delicious, hot and covered, there was plenty of choice and nice man cooking fresh omelettes and fried eggs in morning plus pizza etc later in day. The drink choice is very limited vodka or gin and they charge for bottled water €3 . The pool is excellent but cold and very clean and whole area kept spotless by a friendly cheerful man .. please be aware it's very slippery on the tiles if they are wet. The staff are amazing Hakan the restaurant manager literally ran his feet off all day and evening and looked after us like we were royalty, he was such an asset to the hotel and deserves a pay rise, he got us drinks at the pool and outside at tables what a lovely man he is. The spa does a wonderful massage and Turkish bath and Tesla and Engin were amazing . The manager was brilliant I had an issue with my room and it was rectified in minutes. Such attention to detail deserves my 5 stars. Now the disappointing bit, there was no daytime activities just music which looped over and over, but it wasn't too loud or intrusive. There were raffles and Bingo and I urge you not to buy any as Jerry sells tickets cut price to those he favours and what do you know that couple won line 2 lines and the full house! We made him take back tickets before the game and he only gave us money back when I told him I was going to write on TripAdvisor, the raffle we had tickets for we did not even see it being held. The hotel would do much better by replacing Jerry next year and finding someone interested in people enjoying their holiday than making money out of them . At night they did karaoke and a few quizzes and an acrobatic show but it was far too late mini disco at 9pm . Tom from the entertainment team was nice to us after we complained as was Jerry, but was that because they didn't want this review? They even waved us off. Jerry did apologize but it does not change it was unfair to other players who brought expensive tickets a strip of 6 for (€500) then sold some to others for €200 ! And all you win is a mini massage or face mask . They even told us to play for free after we complained but we said no as that still wasn't fair to other people who paid . The holiday rep umit (sorry if spelt wrong) was very nice and spoke to us every day even though we didn't book trips because of our mobility issues. Engin we miss you and your lovely hugs, your friendly smile and warm personality. All in all we had a wonderful week away and would recommend city hill highly.

The staff are friendly. I asked for them to move us to the balcony view and this was done swiftly. Food was good. Needed to be labelled. Rooms quiet spacious . However there was no iron. Irene Dublin

The entertainment team, pool and hotel is good. The only thing that’s let’s this hotel down is the food. The view from the hotel looking over the harbour area is amazing. We would return to hotel again but would not go all inclusive 😊

Where do I start! Food - very basic, though good salad selection. None of the food was labelled, so not very good for anyone with food intolerance . Table cloths very rarely changed. The lifts were absolutely filthy and if three people got in the alarm would go, though states can take 5 people. Bed was made daily and new towels, that was it, no cleaning carried out. Outside, bar and table’s filthy, drinks severely watered down, one bar man in particular was extremely rude to everyone, though rest of staff were very friendly. Music around the pool did not cater for the majority of the age group, no daily activities, which were advertised when booking this hotel. Hotel advertised as being a 4 star, a beach front hotel with a gym!! Would say 3 star at a push, beach roughly 20 minute hill walk away, and you could not even see the beach from the hotel. No gym as advertised. Both of these were factors in us booking this hotel, so you can imagine very dissatisfied.

I am sitting on my balcony writing this review looking at the hotel owner who has been on site since yesterday . He seems to be instructing staff on what there duties are . Sad to witness as a hotelier the bar counter needs a good clean for a start and the lift is filthy. No antibacterial spray used wiping tables it's just zero maintenance. The service area for food is also not up to standard food not in a chiller or covered. And Hot food cold. The rooms are good and these are clean. I would not return though .

Do NOT listen to the good reviews, me and my partner are in the airport waiting to get home after stayed in this hotel for 7 days. Firstly the rooms unless you book a sea view room I wouldn't bother your looking at a main road no sunlight dark and horrible. the rooms are so small staying there longer than one weeks would feel like a prison, the fans on the balcony make such a noise too!!! Shower was so small i'm small and they were small for me, The water is also really salty really bad!!!! The entertainment same 15 songs a day by the pool and in the evenings end up offering to support you out then charging you !! Rubbish Food !!!! DISGUSTING ended up eating out every lunch and every evening not that spending was an issue but you don't want that when booking an all inclusive holiday, drinks watered down bad also, they also serve reheated food from lunch in the afternoon for snacks it's really really bad! Pool is dreadful it was more salty but gone off taste so couldn't even swim in it properly!! Location is lies to, got to walk down 4 hills ended up spending on taxis constantly as it's further than what it states !!! Honestly i'm never moan but i would never come back here again! Such a shame as down in the town is beautiful just some photos of broken things and the room

This hotel is a 4 star hotel that I had come here about 4 years ago but the facility of the hotel is more than that . The personnel were polite and friendly, The hotel has a beautiful sea view, has a pool full of swimmers and a restaurant with kinds of foods based on the nationality of people. As generally I like it.

Hotel is very dated definitely not a 4 star the halls smell of urine . Our room was covered in hair (all types ) on arrival and had to ask to clean again . The food is not good very basic and repetitive , snacks are awful, drinks only beer , Gin or Vodka. The whole hotel could do with a full top to toe cleaning , especially carpet areas and food hall. Toaster in food hall was broken for our whole trip . Would not recommend this hotel. On a plus side the staff were lovely and entertainment team did their best .

Now we have finally be transferred to a new hotel I feel I can share my horrific experience at this hotel! This hotel really should be a 1 star (if there was a 0 star I would have given it that), the photos and descriptions are not a true reflection of what you are booking yourself in to! We checked in on the Monday to a toilet full of excrement! In and around the toilet! the food was inedible - cold, chewy, some you couldn’t even get a fork into, let alone cut! Drinks were not “all inclusive” everything was so watered down and limited! Cats were eating the cake off the cake trays Food was repetitive (I’m sure this was because if it wasn’t all eaten it was a reserved for the next meal….) Pool table and paddles were broken Pathing labs around the pool were dangerous (cut my foot twice) Evening entertainment some you had to pay for, and it was a different cost depending on your nationality and group size… The shower head was broken (was reported and never replaced) The Aircon didn’t work (so the manager came and swapped the batteries from the tv control to the Aircon… fantastic! The “cleaners” repeatedly left the door open even after being told by us to keep it locked! The floor was never cleaned and had dirt round the edges of door frames, shower etc Bed was hard and only a sheet and 1 pillow each provided Dartboard was broken and not proper darts game Music was about 10 songs on repeat which drove us insane! Definitely not a walk from the town or beach as advertised! Entertainment if it happened at all wasnt on time (1 hour to 2hours late)

Overall experience of the city hill. Food wasn't the greatest but suppose you could get something you like. Beds were very uncomfortable like lying on a brick. Also the grumpiest barman you could meet even charged 1 euro for a bottle of water considering it is supposed to be all inclusive 🤔. The only upside to this hotel was hakan he couldn't do enough for you and went over and beyond to get you everything you needed even making us omelletes himself. Would give him 5 stars.
