This charming hotel is perched on a cliff overlooking the Aegean on one side and the marina and town of Kusadasi on the other. The grounds are beautiful and you can follow the steps down and swim in the beautiful Aegean Sea. We were there in early October when the season was over and were upgraded and had a room... More

Faded glamor, indeed. Completely agree with the previous reviewer. We stayed in the room 203 overlooking the harbor. The room was spacious and appeared to have been updated . They apparently converted two very small rooms into one. We had 2 bathrooms, 2 closets and 2 balconies. In addition to previous comments, there is no safe in the room. We... More

The Kismet must have once been THE place to stay in Kusdasi and sadly is resting on its laurels. Set on an isthmus, surrounded by trees and sea it has the best location of any hotel in the town. BUT it is in need of an overhaul. There is considerable charm in the photos of Princess Ann and the Queen... More

This luxury boutique hotel is charming and comes with a wonderful history. While we were not lucky enough to stay here overnight, we got to experience their incredible restaurant. The service, food and local entertainment made this the highlight of our day in Ephesus and Kusadasi. It is definitely on my list of hotels that I want to return to.

The Kismet is a classic, old world hotel. For us, it was booked as part of our bus tour. Room had ocean view, looking back around the curve of the peninsula to other parts of Kusadasi. It is a pleasant hotel with vast gardens and buildings. I didn't even find the hotel in ground pool but loved a refreshing swim... More

This was a truly lovely place to stay, with lots of old world charm of a bygone era. Some say it's in need of a facelift, but that would spoil everything. It's like a large comfy arm chair - well worn, a bit tired but far too valuable to change. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the... More

The Kismet is an exquisitely whimsical property. The grounds are vast and well-kept, the reception reminds of a private villa, which is exactly what this building was. The service is highly personal, not always precise but unfailingly full of spirit. Some of the rooms are spanking new, some are large and shabby, I like them equally. The ffull board food... More

We stayed at Kismet Hotel with our tour group and were delighted with the accommodations. The room was large and had a small terrace with an outstanding view. Bathroom was comfortable with modular-like shower. Breakfast was good and dinner buffet was great; but town is just a short walk with lots of restaurant options.

Yes the property offers good ocean views and may be rated 4 stars but the bathrooms are probably 1 star. Bathrooms need major renovations. Too many stray cats on the property. Resident parroyt was joy to see.

I was a little surprised to be greeted by a wolf-whistle and a loud 'Hello' when I entered reception but it turned out to be the greeting of the resident parrot. The situation of the hotel is magnificent and it has extensive and lovely grounds. Staff were helpful (if occasionally harassed - with good reason). We enjoyed the meals, and... More
