This was an average B&B at best. Bed was sunken in the middle, innkeeper crashed door into me with a full cup of coffee, ruined 80 dollar Brooks Bros. dress shirt. No offer of compensation. Breakfast no better than Denny's. Had stained shirt for St. Bonaventure Graduation pictures with my son.

My husband had to work out of town at the last minute on New Year's Eve, of all nights. I thought we'd never find a place to stay in the area, but then I found The Gallets House. Joan was wonderful, so pleasant and friendly. We stayed in a beautiful room, complete with electric fire and Jacuzzi tub. I had... More

Very nice environment. Great price. Food was excellent. Owner was very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again and highly recommend it. I was attending a reunion in Bradford, PA and this was an easy ride to & from.

This Carriage House worked great for our needs, which were to accommodate 17 people for a family wedding. We had enough bathrooms and kitchen space, as well as bedrooms and outdoor space. I was worried about the smell comments below, but didn't notice anything. The kitchens were well-stocked with pots and pans, cups and glasses, coffee equipment, toasters, etc. It... More

This is the third time I have stayed in the cottage accommodations next to the Victorian B & B. They are described as simple apts., perfect for hunters or ski vacationers plus, they are pet friendly. My only gripe is that our cottage this time was very dirty from floors to bathroom and kitchen. It looked like it had been... More

We saved at least $110 by driving a bit to this antique-style B&B rather than paying top dollar in Ellicottville / Holiday Valley during peak ski season. The proprietor is pleasant and even gave us a free upgrade to a nicer room! Our room was clean with a private bathroom and everything we needed, including corkscrew, wine glasses, coffee pot,... We were aware of the fact that the inn is out in the country but when we complained of the skunk smell permeating the inside, the owner had a mental meltdown at our displeasure. she yelled at us so loudly that we had to run out of the place as quickly as we could and lost everything that we had... What a fantastic house! Dates from 1896, and the family who built it apparently never threw anything away. There's oak woodwork, pocket doors, gorgeous furniture, period wallpaper, a proper sitting room and formal dining room, ven a museum in the attic. My room was lovely, though the TV was tiny and on a high shelf over the door and the... More

This is an absolutely fantastic B&B and I haven't even had breakfast yet! The house is amazing! The owners completely renovated the house in 1998 but the house has quite a history which the owners will share with their guests. Since it is during the week , my friend and I had our choice of rooms. I am staying in... More

Gallets B&B is about 4 miles from the town of Olean, New York. It is on a quiet country road in a pretty rural valley on a working farm. They were harvesting corn while we were there. The owner, Joan, is a nice, friendly , energetic, woman who was always very helpful. She cooks a good breakfast. I loved the... More
