Club Xanthos is out of town, walkable if fit if not 10 tlr in a taxi, on a very, very steep hill. Kalkan is very nice, Not the cheapest part of Turkey but you get what you pay for, good quality food, expensive shops. Our three weeks in Turkey on a group tour (34 people) was marred by the sub-standard hotels we were biffed into. These were supposedly 4-5 star places but by New Zealand standards they would barely make a pass grade. Club Xanthos was perhaps the best of this very poor lot. I have just had my second stay at Club Xanthos, the last one being 5 years ago. There have been a few changes since the previous stay. It is now on a B&B basis as opposed to HB.
