The Dogan is in a good situation and close to a nice but small beach / Jetty affair and without any disco music - The main beach in Antalya you are unable to escape the noise of the disco bars! Hateful. The food in the Hotel was tasty and reasonably varied - fair amount of meat balls and sausagey stuff.... more

Sweet hotel, lovely little pool, good location near the old harbor in Antalya. Best was that when we had to leave early in the morning before breakfast, they packed a lunch for us! Antalya is a little too developed for my taste but we used it as a launch point to the ocean - flew into Antalya, drove to Cirali,... more

We recently stayed at Dogan Hotel for 2 nights. Our original plan did not include this hotel but a bad experience on our first night in Antalya at a different hotel resulted in us moving to Dogan. This hotel is located about 50 m from the marina area in the old town and 10 minutes walk away from the clock... more

Dogan Hotel, Antalya I was somewhat surprised by some of the reviews that I had read on this absolutely beautiful hotel, and I wonder if they might have been placed there by someone with more than a poor experience to relate. I have included several pictures to emphasize and document what we experienced. We arrived in Antalya on 2 Apr... more

I also booked the hotel after reading all the reviews here and was deeply disappointed. There was no water in the pool! Silly me, I only asked if there was a swimming-pool and there was - but no water! Little detail! I didn't find the staff very friendly or helpful. It was also very complicated to pay via credit card.... more

Booked this hotel 8 months ahead of time based on the reviews on this site and boy was that a HUGE mistake! Honestly I have no idea why anyone gives this hotel a positive rating. Arrived and was greeted by "Uncle Fester" who was equally creepy and unfriendly. Even though we booked a room with a double bed and balcony... more

Having read the previous reviews I am not surprised- same thing happened to us- we turn up at the hotel and were informed that they could not take us and tried to book us into the Argos, allegedly a sister (?) hotel and a room with a similar standards- absolute rubbish, it was very disappointing and the room wasn't clean... more

My wife and I had booked into the Dogan for two nights. We arrived a day early because we had been staying at Kadir's in Olympus and left early (separate review). The Dogan was fully booked on that night, apparently, and it was suggested we stay at the Argos for the night. The Argos seems to be associated with the... more

We felt ready to rest when we arrived at the Dogan, as we had flown in after spending four hectic days in Istanbul. Imagine our disappointment, then, when the receptionist told us that the hotel was fully booked! This was apparently due to the fact that a guest had been taken ill, and couldn't fly home until the next day.... more

I stayed here with a friend in June and we had a delightful experience. The hotel is in the old part of Antalya, which is charming and will probably just get better since there seems to be lots of restoration going on in the whole Kaleici area. The hotel itself is at the end of a street, very secluded and... more
