I saw the reviews after we had booked for a convention and was dreading going. Rooms are quite shabby but clean, although the bnathroom had a nasty odour at times. The view was spectacular. So the rooms on the website look clean and modern, but in reality those rooms don't exist at this hotel. The lobby is beautiful and remodeled and it's too bad that the owner wouldn't put in the same amount of money into keeping up the rooms. This is a disastrous place, from beginning to the end. Stayed at this hotel previously in 2004 and was therefore looking forward to revisit. The hotel had a lot of refurbishment and it appeared that all floor levels apart from Level 2 and 3 had since being modernised. i have to admit that this is one of the worst hotels ive ever stayed at, the service was shocking the food was very bland, the staff were very ingnorant, the prices for drinks defined belief, it's never a 5 star resort as advertised, on the upside the views are stunning,my advise would be not use this hotel if possible. more
