We have just got back from a 7 night stay at the El Mouradi Mahdia. Overall I would say that this is a great place if you are looking to relax and get away from the stresses of day to day life. Our trip was somewhat interupted by the fact that the hotel had been overbooked on the first night... more

We booked this hotel as a last minute deal (literally the day before we left the UK) so we had very little time to research this hotel before we got there. We were absolutely thrilled with what we found. The hotel is set in an excellent location on a simply beautiful beach with clear turquoise sea only meters away from... more

The hotel is in front of the sea. Personally, I didn't expect a so transparent sea in the area: amazing. You can walk on the beach to the old town (medina) of Mahdia, it take just 20minuts. The hotel is very nice, the room are large and quiet clean. There is a fast daily clean up. People working there are... more

We went to El Mouradi without many expectations based on the reviews on here. We went to take it easy and recharge our batteries which is exactly what we achieved. The room itself was reletively large, but the furniture was in need of renevation. To be fair to the Hotel they are clearly developing their rooms as half the hotel... more

It's a 2-star hotel at best, with dreary, tired rooms. The staff was pleasant, and they offered us an upgrade; the next room had a better view and was a little larger. However, it wasn’t the hotel for us. We ended up staying at the Riu -- a much nicer room for only a little bit more money. more

The hotel itself was beautiful, right on the beach, always something going on, but you get the quiet and privacy if you want it. All the staff are lovely and really want to help if you need anything. We had a couple of problems with our room, the telephone didn’t work so we had no wake up call, so the... more

We spent a really enjoyable week at the El Mouradi during the last week of October. For what we spent on this holiday (got a late deal) it was really great. The food was good and there was plenty of variety. The service was excellent and the waiters, maids, reception etc were always polite. Our room was a good size... more

Had a nice week at this hotel, although certainly wouldn't give it 5* - it probably was when it was built - but the rooms in particular are in need of refurbishment and some general maintenance work. Everywhere clean, food good, staff friendly. Had a good week, but wouldn't go back. more

The hotel itself is very clean and the entrance is grand. The rooms really need updating, although they were comfortable. The food is average and the entertainment was diabolical. There are the same few people providing the very dissappointing evening entertainment every day. On the upside, the service was excellent, the pool area was fantastic, as mentioned previously it was... more

The flight over to Tunisia and back to the UK was not so good. The plane was very tired looking and was dirty. Our trays had coffee stains on them, both pockets had rubbish bits in them . The food on the way out was for once really lovely, but on the return trip it was hardly edible, but that... more
