A lovely hotel, elegant and comfortable. The staff were all very pleasant and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Room service was superb, the food was hot when it arrived and it arrived on a trolley that converts into a table so you can Dine in your room, as opposed to just eat, I found this place idyllic except for... more

I loved every minute at this hotel. It has a beautiful lobby and even more beautiful rooms. We had a standard room which was extremely comfortable and spacious. The balcony is big enough for the complimentary breakfast to be served out there in the morning and has chairs and a table for enjoying the sea or gardens. Upon arrival we... more

After two weeks driving through Tunisia, we splurged on The Residence. We didn’t want to leave our room! At this hotel, you feel like you could be nearly any place in the world—sometimes that’s exactly what you need. more

The speed of arrival always amazes us, 2.5 hours on the plane, 15 minutes from the airport so breakfast in London, lunch at the fabulous and huge hotel pool. You could go for one night. Pool is so good the beach doesnt get used Love the staff, building, rooms, food. Treatments get booked up so book before you're there for... more

My girlfried and I had the pleasure of staying at The Residence in October because I had read on the internet that they had recently opened their Robert Trent Jones designed golf course and as we were looking for respite from Scotland for some sunny weather we decided that Tunisia was another tick the box country and golfing destination. We... more

Some countries have their own star rating system, as does Tunisia. Generally, when they say 5 stars, I'd say 4 and so on. My husband and I just returned from our 4th stay at La Residence. It's really a world class 5 star property. Overview: The hotel facade is lovely, and well cared for. The lobby cool and elegant. The... more

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of a travel agent educational. We pulled up around a lavish fountain at the entrance to The Residence and the staff immediately took our bags. We were taken to a desk where our room key cards were waiting, along with our times for the spa, mine being 5 and 5:30pm... more

We picked the Residence for a number of reasons, some that only parents will understand. Short flight, Powder Byrne English nannies on site, sun in October and the connection with the Residence in Mauritius. As a destination for a quick sun break in october for both parents and kids I can't fault it. No it isn't 5* deluxe luxury but... more

Booked the hotel based on its reputation in Mauritius and the fact it has a spa. We were not disappointed. Our room, a view over the pool was lovely especially in the morning as it faced east and we were greeted the first morning by the rising sun as we took breakfast on the balcony. My fiance and I booked... more

We stayed at The Residence in Tunis for 11 days at the end of September arriving back in England on 3rd October. The hotel fell slightly short of our expectations and that of other guests we met whilst staying there. We will not be going back mainly due to both of us going down with 'Tunis Tummy!' Staff within the... more
