Hotel hell.. actually got recommended this hotel by a travel agent on a last minute booking. Wish id never listened. Went for a week with my girlfriend last week in September. Hotel looked extremely tired needed some serious renovating. The room was quite comfortable and the pool area was ok with a good sized pool but they were the only... More

Myself and my partner stayed at shalima hotel in September 20-27 . On arrival we are shown to our room. Very basic, balcony looking out to tennis courts.( hotel do not supply rackets). Hotel food was tasteless, not cooked properly.Food not heated, flys all over the food. Rotten fruit. The staff at the bar were rude and servered everyone before... More

After booking hurriedly and then reading reviews, we were expecting the worst with the Shalimar. It wasn't the best but it didn't affect our holiday. The hotel and complex could be very nice with a little TLC. A lovely spacious building with a grand lobby and a superb pools, both indoor and out. Large bedrooms. The staff were pleasant &... More

Our stay at this hotel came about because our travel company changed hotels on us a week before we were due to depart, that is another story. We didn't arrive until 2am and the place was in darkness. There was 1 lad on reception who said Mr and Mrs ....... and gave us a key with directions to our room.... More

Other than the awful stay and initial stomach bug, it may be a coincidence but my partner has come back and is in hospital with meningitis can I ask if any other September visitors has experienced any illness? However other than that the hotel was poor anyway, pool was nice but it ends there. Most meals awful, entertainment irritating, some... More

Where to start, on arrival we were advised to go into lunch as our room wasn't ready, would have been nice to have been advised where the restaurant was, i use the term loosely, prison food would be probably more palatable. Not much choice & always cold. The floor needed a major clean, food always on it from the previous... More

Arrived home from this hotel today and all I can say is that it has put myself and my partner off Tunisia for life. The pool and beach were lovely and this is the only positive thing I can find to say. I found some of the male staff very ignorant towards the British women and quite often was ignored... More

This has been the hardest review to write and being our third visit to the area should have been straight forward We have always looked at reviews purely for key factors to the hotel disability factors, after this we have always been ready for the odd dicky stomach and after precautions we have had a good time. This trip had... More

My family and I stayed here July 18th-31st, the hotel is clean and there is plenty or room around the pool and on the beach BUT the food is TERRIBLE , this has to be the worst place I have stayed and eaten. My children stuck to eating the rolls, food that should of been hot was cold, chicken was... More
