The hotel definately isnt 4* but probably is a decent 3*. We were moved several times but got a nice room with a lovely view although the air conditioning never did work properly. The room was large, reasonably well furnished but a little tired. The bathroom also had some minor faults but everything worked fine. It is true about the... more

Hi, Ive just spent a week at the Sol Azur Beach Hotel in Hammamet, Tunisia. We got a very good deal at about 350 pp, HB, flights/accomodation. But, I wouldnt say this hotel is a true 4*, as ive stayed in 4 & 5 star hotels in many countries, & overall, the hotel was very average, with service at times... more

The hotel itself The hotel is huge, comprising the facilities from the Sol Azur, the Royal Azur and the Bel Azur resorts. They're all adjacent, and while we didn't use the facilities from the other hotels, we walked through them all. The Sol Azur has the best pool, though half of it is shaded after about 3pm in mid-May. The... more

Absolutely adored this place.... The staff were so helpful and friendly. They made you feel so welcome. The hotel itself was clean, spacious, comfortable. The hotel itself was 15 minutes stroll from Hammamet town centre which was full of shops. The medina is one place though unfortunately I would not go back into. The hassle was unreal. Maybe if we... more

The Sol Azur is a 4 star hotel (their rating) and is part of a complex of 3 hotels next to one another (the Bel Azur and Royal Azur, which are 3 and 5 stars respectively). As a result, you can use the facilities of all of the hotels. The complex is nearer the old Medina of the city and... more

I found the hotel staff very polite and friendly, the animation team did their best, you can sit and moan or get on with it and thats what we did, we all became great friends. I thought the drinks very expensive so would take some from the airport to my room, I think it would be better if thet gave... more

We stayed at the Sol Azur for a week on half board. The good bits were: a free glass of lemonade while you sign in, some very friendly staff (reception person at meal times, the pastry/sweet cook and the cleaners) and the camel rides close to the hotel were fun and good value. The bedrooms were OK - quite spacious... more

A few girlie friends and myself stayed here on 24/11/08. We wanted something a bit different to our normal hectic clubbing holidays, which we got. The clubs that they did have weren’t that good but like I said we weren’t bothered about the clubbing part, we just wanted to get away and forget about the hustle and bustle of London... more
