I'm going to keep this short and sweet so you can make up your own mind: Issues - The hotel is very shabby from the outside - The beach area is tired and messy with few chairs and no shade - You have to pay to use the pool by the beach featured in all the photos as it is... More

Good distance to the medina. Nice trip on the pirate boat. Snorkling and alot of relaxing. Animation was nice and the ouside dinners only once a week... More

Just returned after second visit to this hotel and it was even better this time. As I've been before my room was upgraded so had a fantastic view of the beach. Staff were amazing as they remembered me and nothing was too much trouble. All the staff are brilliant, kind and go the extra mile to make sure you have... More

Had a fabulous bargain of a week at this hotel. First time to this part of Africa for us and we weren't disappointed. The sunshine was hot and the mediteranian sea beautiful. True, the hotel is a bit tired but we heard that it's closing in November for a refurb. Our room was spacious with a lovely balcony. From what... More

We have stayed at this hotel 4 times prior and we are still happy to come back. It is frustrating when i see the negative reviews. This hotel is in Tunisia not the UK. Just because it is classed as a 5 star hotel, that means 5 stars in Tunisia. Standards are different around the world. The hotel is respectable,... More

Having read the mixed reviews here on Tripadvisor, I was a little worried about this place but actually it turned out to be pretty alright. OK it is not 5 stars but still, it was pretty okay. The rooms were a good size, nice balcony, great view, very clean and very comfortable. We got a half-board package and the food... More

Just got back after a 2 week stay in Tunisia. Stayed at the other sister hotels before so decided to try the royal azur to see what it was like. I have to say the staff were friendly and very helpful. Dali the lifeguard works very hard to make sure you are safe and comfortable and was always on hand... More

As for a 5 stars class hotel I think the ministry of Tourism in Tunisia should revise it's class, the service is far from good, very negligent, the room haven't been cleaned when we where away, very noisy. Yet the food is good, the Thalasso center is absolutely great, such a great service inside, very welcoming staff, it's like the... More

For a four day break in the sun this was fine, there wasn't much to distract from lying in the sun, little or no entertainment in the hotel in the evening. ( I'm not counting the Tunisian organist!) no alcohol outside the hotel. I'm told that Thomas Cook's are not using this hotel next year. (There were very few Brits... More

Don't waste your time or money! A few details of our stay at Royal Azur in August 2014 There was no rep on the transfer bus and the bus driver just dropped us off on the road. The road was dodgy and looked like a war zone. There was no Thomas Cook rep available and the hotel staff were rude.... More
