Traveling as a lone female was a little daunting. Although I was traveling alone I was not single. I was warned that this was probably not a good idea and found this to be quite wrong. If you remember the rules you will have a lovely relaxing holiday. I was after a quite week by the pool or beach with... more

My wife and I decided to back to Tunisia after a break of 14 years after having to cancel our original holiday to Goa in April due to a death in the family. The hotel was nice and our room was cleaned to a high standard. The staff were friendly and helpfull. The pool was ok but after a few... more

I booked a last minute deal for myself to go to Tunisia for some sun for a week. It rained every day (not the fault of the hotel!!!!), and I had a really rather miserable time. The sheets were ripped; the MiniBar didn't work and was (as expected for a '5*' Hotel) extortionately priced; the Hotel itself was amazingly dated;... more

We have just returned from an excellent two-week stay at the Royal Azur in Hammemet. This hotel is part of a chain of hotels, including the Bel Azur and Sol Azur which are located next door, and you have use of the facilities in all three hotels, the beach side café at the Bel Azur is worth a visit for... more

We stayed in this hotel from May 7th until May 14th.So as you can tell we are just back. The hotel was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpfull..BUT ! There is building work going on and all you can hear is the sound of drills all day long.Sitting on the beach is a no no unless you move... more

My friend and I booked a last minute week away at the Royal Azur. The first thing I would say is that it's definitely worth paying a bit more (£20 for the week for us) to stay in the Royal, rather than the Sol Azur or Bel Azur - the rooms and public areas are just a bit more classy!... more

Having just returned from a week long stay at the Royal Azur, I have to say that overall I was very impressed with the service and the facilities. The hotel is rated as a 5 star and although it seems to be at the top end of the resorts in the area, I would rate it as a fantastic 4... more

I went to the Royal Azur in February 2007 (have been meaning to write a review) for rest and relaxation as I was a bit worn out. It was a perfect place for what I wanted. My room overlooked the sea and I could hear the sound of the waves in bed- so soothing. The nightly buffet was excellent with... more

We're a couple in our early 30's who travelled on our own on a one week break, purely to relax and unwind. We stayed at the Royal Azur 28 Oct - 4 Nov 2007, which is the end of (warm) season and noticably quieter than I imagine it is during high season. We booked our holiday through Expedia with Panorama/Apollo... more
