Since my review is the last one shown on the website I feel I need to point out that the main two story building (shown in the background of the picture of the grounds) no longer exists (don't know what happened to it) and the Channelsyde now has a total of 4 units. On there website they show a picture... More

The Channelsyde is a family owned motel that is relatively old but kept in very good shape. The room we stayed in (a queen bed in the main building) was small but perfectly adequate, clean with a comfortable bed and a bathroom with a nice shower/tub. There was a small table with two chairs by a large window looking out... More

I traveled with my husband and two sons, ages 10 & 12. The beach was non-existent. It was covered in weeds and not kept up. I am not sure when this picture was taken, but it does not look like that. The rooms were clean, but the beds were small, pillows were flat, and we didn't even get enough towels... More

My husband and I stayed at the Channelsyde as a halfway point from Niagra Falls to Ottawa. We had a room, not in the main motel but, in a little duplex of rooms. It had a great front porch that we could see the Channel from. The room was neat, clean and comfortable. King size bed. They have a breakfast... More

Found this motel on the internet looking for accomadations close to the Thousand Islands. Didn't know what to expect when we found ourselves off the main road but was pleasantly surprised when we came to it. The rooms were extremely clean and neat and the bed was very comfortable. The owner, Pete, made you feel like old friends. Beautiful setting... More

Awesome place. Quiet, great views, clean, the owners care about you. Not a place for small kids. This place is for people who don't want to deal with the larger places in Alex Bay and costs half as much! We will be making the Channelsyde our favorite place to stay. We loved every minute of our stay. Got to see... More

Had the pleasure of spending a few days at this marvelous private motel located directly on the channel. A spanse of luscious green lawn and a variety of lounges, chairs and tables with umbrellas allow a totally unobstructed view of the channel and its activity. This is a perfect place if you're seeking a quiet and relaxing visit. Hope to... More

We stayed here for only a couple of nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The owners were very gracious and gave helpful information about the area. Beautiful lawn fronting the river where we could sit and watch the ships on the seaway. Room was quite comfortable and well decorated. This is the cleanest place we have ever stayed... More

Stayed 4th of July weekend for first time. Great location, right on the St. Lawrence. Clean rooms and grounds. We will be back.

It was nice and quiet, no noisy kids. The grounds are really nice. The rooms are a bit small but adaquate and clean. The owner was very friendly. The neighbors were all friendly. It was a very relaxed atmosphere. Would consider coming again. It's so great you have to book well in advance if you want a room. Worth the... More
