We have been here twice. Both times were Great! Wi-Fi was not very good, but if you sat outside, you could get it. Very Clean, Great for the price! It was so convenient to the boat rides and tours........walking distance to gift shops and restaurants, but I wouldn't go the restaurant across the street, bar/grill........Expensive and not very good food!... The ship is a very clean older motel in a near perfect location. It's a 30 second walk to restaurants and pubs in town. Keep in mind that since it's so close to the action, it is very noisy. The management does a great job keeping the late night noise at bay. Plan to stay up until midnight or so... More

I stay here every summer over Labor Day week for an awesome blues festival put on by the local Chamber of Commerce. The Ship is right downtown off the main drag, James Street, and couldn't be more convenient. Literally all local attractions are walking distance, eliminating a need for a rental car. It's clean and well maintained and the staff... More

We stayed here 7 days along with another couple. It is a great location next to the active and busy Alexandria Bay down town. We would stay here again. There is no pool or breakfast but all the coffee you can drink.

This year we have a total of 9 couples stay at The Ship Motel for a weekend getaway. As always, service was great! Dean is an awesome manager who is always friendly and helpful!! We love being right in the middle of town, within close walking distance to all the bars and restaurants. We will be back next year!

I was in town for a wedding and my friend booked here. Great location to everything and I just parked for the weekend and never used my car again. First off, after reading the reviews about Dean....I met him...suuuuppper nice gentleman, worth staying there. He is very kind and helpful. Anything you may need, questions asked, he had the answer.... More

Smell? Musty. Carpet? Stained. Bedding? Throwback to the 80's and after just a peek at the mattress, I decided to stop. We pulled into the Ship's parking lot and it was extremely tight with room for just one car per room and if you have additional vehicles, you have to find parking elsewhere. Upon entering our room, we were taken... More

We have been staying here for 10 years, & will continue to go back. Due to some health issues the location is perfect distance for walking. Dean & the rest of the staff treat us like we r family. Thanks for another great year.

Dean was so friendly and nice. Room was spotless , bright and cheerful !! We parked and never had to drive again ... Everything in walking distance !! ( there's no fridge coffee maker iron or blow dryer- but we knew that ahead of time from other reviews )... It was not a big deal not having those things. We... More

On the evening of Oct 4, 2013 I was heading to The Bay. I go frequently but rarely stay overnite. Heading on I-81, 2 miles south of the American-Canadian border I hit a large buck & wrote off my vehicle. Altho I killed a beautiful animal, I walked away untouched, thanx to driving a heavy vehicle. The local wrecker brought... More
