The property has been recently refurbished and changed its name to Angsana. It is still quite nice with its lagoon and houses but I noticed that it misses "ambiance", staff is quite cold, I don't feel welcome. The very good italian restaurant has been changed into a spanish bodega with hay balls at the entrance(!!!). It seems to me that... More

We had stayed in this resort when it was under Sheraton management and enjoyed it and the location so much we wanted to return after it became Angsana Laguna. We booked a private transfer from the airport and it was heavenly. Just what we needed to refresh us after a full day travelling with Master 8 and Master 6. We... More

Just returned from a 5N/6D honeymoon at Angsana and by the end of it, we were dreading each day. There was a huge Indian wedding and seemed like the entire resort had decided to bend over backwards for them. Unfortunately me and my spouse were the only 2 'indian-looking' couple that wasn't part of the group and we got treated... More

We have had a great stay at this resort. The service is excellent. The staff are extremely friendly and well trained. Our room was recently renovated in tasteful relaxing colors with a new very comfortable kingsized bed and roomy lounge area. The TV was a big new flat-screen and nice balcony were we could watch the sunsets and fireworks. We... More

I cant believe I am writing a review when I am still at the hotel but i just really want to warn people who are planning a trip in the near future. To be honest, I see a lot of potential in this hotel. Anyway here it is: 1. Check in - I booked 2 rooms, upon check-in, we were... More

We returned to this resort after our wonderful experience under Sheraton management for our last stay. We had so many issues and concerns that eventually we asked for a refund and moved hotels. I was devastated after talking up this resort to my parents who we took to Laguna for my father's 70th b'day. At check-in, we were told that... More

Have been there many times when it was the Sheraton. The Angsana has a long way to go! No loyalty program, tariffs even in 'soft opening' period were much higher. They never in all the time we were booked told us that they were not fully operational! I feel that I was ripped off big time! Food in Bodega's often... More

Negatives: Problems at Check in, we had asked for interconnecting rooms which were confirmed by them in writing but were not available at time of check in, so we changed rooms the next day. Service was sluggish at the restaurants - food taken too long to serve and orders mixed up a few times. At check out, incorrect billing which... More

We have stayed at the resort some years ago, but in recent years decided to stay elsewhere because the resort was suffering from age, but, great news, this grand resort has been refurbished and is now an Angsana (Banyan Tree Resort group). The resort is great and we liked the breakfast buffet room where the old shops used to clutter... More

The hotel is stunning, immaculately kept. Rooms are excellent - we travelled with our 2 children so had interconnecting rooms - we had a kingsize bed in our room and the children had a small double each. Breakfast is excellent - everything you could wish to eat. There are simply loads of excellent restaurants to visit at night, our favourites... More
