Nov 13, 2009 | Trip type: Friends getaway

I stayed four nights at Baan Kratting with a large group of friends and I was very impressed with a few things: 1. Location. It was very quite and private, there was even a private beach just for us! 2. Pleasant staff. From the massage ladies to the restaurant staff everyone was very friendly and more importantly flexible with our... more

We had our private wedding party at Baan Krating. Our plans were to stay only 3 nights, we ended up extending our stay to 7 nights! We had a big group, so it was perfect, enough to be intimate but not bored, also great for honeymooners. The staff were super friendly and breakfast was awesome, especially the fresh Thai coffee,... more

Aug 17, 2009 | Trip type: Family

I and my family( 5 adults+3 kids) stayed there for 2 nights. Both of my sisters had stayed there before twice and really liked the privacy and a somewhat private beach there, so they decided to come back here. Since it was low season, there were very few tourists. To get to the resort, we had to drive through another... more

This was the 2nd time I stayed at Baan Krating, the last time was in 2005. They have upgraded the resort and built some new rooms which are much better than the old wooden ones. (they still have them) My room was pretty spacious and if you did look carefully through the villas in front of you, you did sea... more

The location is great, but the staff is very rude and not helpful, the rooms are extremely dirtz and this for prices that are not significantly lower then 5 star hotels in the region. Make the comparison, we moved into the Moevenpick 5 star after 2 nights and pay only 30 Dollar more per night. more

No doubt the locale is gorgeous! A friend lives nearby and recommended this place. She had not stayed here but visited the bungalows next door Ao-Sane. I saw this room listed for $43 US on Agoda.com but I did not book because we traveled around. By the time we arrived at the hotel we asked for a price and they... more

We used the other reviews here in deciding to stay at Baan Krating. We have previously been disappointed with some hotel shown on the internet, in that they tend to exagerate just a tad. We were more than pleasantly surprise to find that this Hotel is all that it stated and more. It was just what we were looking for,... more

Like the other reviews state, this hotel is secluded, which is the reason we chose to stay there (as well as the reasonable prices). The staff where friendly and obliging and everywhere was kept tidy at all times. The resort is situated in a steep valley and has been very well designed (one of the owners is a renowned architect)... more

I used the above review, when we decided to book this place. It's very isolated-located on the southern tip of phuket-a hour from the airport-near Phuket town. It's kind of crazy that you have to go through the Le Meredien yacht club service entrance and a very curvy road to get to this hotel. There were only a few other... more
