They are recommended by lonely planet. Just little bit disappointed with the food. Our friend and my husband ordered two different kinds of beef dishes recommended by the owners, and I ordered green Thai chicken curry ,When our orders arrived the beef was not really cooked and my chicken curry the veg. was not cooked . One of our Thai friends... More

The restaurant attached to this small guesthouse and adjacent to one of the towns main bridges, is a charming place to enjoy a quiet lunch or a relaxing dinner. One side of this characterful restaurant has a series of very attractive timber window shutters that open directly onto the meandering waters of the Mae Nam Phetchaburi River. The Thai menu... More

The owners here are very friendly and helpful. I had a twin fan room for 240 bht a night which I thought was a good price. The rooms are very basic and the toilets are across a small courtyard. They have a nice restaurant where I ate and drank in the evening sat by the window overlooking the river. WiFi... More

I cycled into Phetchaburi and found this guest house. The owner was very friendly and spoke good English. I had a basic room with two single beds and a fan. There were toilets and showers across the corridor from my room. Cold water shower only but in the heat it was very welcome. The bar/restaurant area was cosy and had... More

Great food and service, we tried lots of unusual dishes and loved it all. Really friendly owners. Went back 2 nights in a row. Lovely location alongside the river as well. English spoken and in menus as well, not that common in town!

We stayed in Phetchaburi to break up a journey from north to south. If we ever come this way again, we won't be stopping, either in the town or at this, and i use the term in it's loosest sense, hotel. Not unless I'm being held at gunpoint. Stop for one night however ,we did. Our initial impressions of the... More

A room at Rabieng costs 120 baht. Thats £2.40. Rooms are basic, what do you expect for that price? You get a bed, fan and a couple of sockets to charge phone. Best thing about Rabieng is the Restaurant. A traditional wooden structure overlooking the Phet river. The food is excellent thai fare, try crispy catfish or Sea bass (You... More

I believe that this guesthouse has the potential to be pretty good. It has character, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our double room (240B per night) was small and dark but I would not have minded that if it had been clean! In fact, everything up to about waist height was clean, so the bed and floor... More
