We got the standard room which is fine for us as we are only in the room to sleep. The room was nice and roomy with a small balcony. We overlooked the parking lot and a nice view of the bungalows up the hill. Our air worked but not great. There is a fridge in the room but it is... More

Although the pictures on Internet look amazing, they put us in a shady room with view on the street and electrical cables. You get there by climbing a very narrow staircase and passing the mops on the floor. They woke us up by knocking on the door several times in the morning to serve breakfast, which was jus average. The... More

We stayed here with 3 families in December. The location is directly opposite the Boathouse restaurant and the beach. We stayed in the Delux rooms which were clean, cool and had plenty of room. The view from the rooms and the pool are beautiful. Yes, there is a bit of a climb to the top however the stairs are manageable.... More

This was our second stay at this hotel. In my first review, I bemoaned the walk up the hill but knowing that ahead of time made all the difference. We loved this hotel! Great bed, great shower, strong wifi. The staff were very friendly and the manager spoke excellent English and was great to chat to, really funny. The view... More

We stayed over 70 nights last year and over 30 this year (september and october). The gardens are pretty and the view ,once you have climbed the steps is superb. The swimming pool is also great. The girls who clean are polite and hardworking. However many of the bungalows themselves are worn and from another generation. The real problems are: -... More

Too bad we hadn’t put more effort into researching this hotel. It was pretty much okay with a great view opening up from some bungalows, but the devil is in the details as we all know. It seems that the owner of Kata Hi View built it himself with the help of a few local men who’ve seen some 4-star... More

Beautiful views, clean, confortablebeds, awesome swimming pool that you can go any time of the day/night (any!) and 5-10 minutes walk to the nearest beach (Kata). Be careful that if take big luggage its gonna be difficult to carry it up to the bedrooms even its bungalows or small bedrooms. Stuff was very kind and helpful when we needed. Right... More

Manager was incredible rude from the beginning. First of all he tried to pressure us into upgrading to a sea view bungalow, which was over £100 more expensive. The second issue was our shower didn't work, the rude manager tried to solve the problem by giving us the keys to the room opposite to use the shower. I declined and... More

After 142 steps to bungalow 6 and 7 :-( we were rewarded with a stunning view over Kata Beach. I would stay there again - but it is tough to walk the stairs!!! Friendly and helpful staff in reception. The cleaning personal had little knowledge of English but did an ok job! We brought a water kettle and bought yoghurt... More

We only stayed here for one night as a stopover before we went to Phi Phi. When we arrived we were offered an upgrade for a small price which gave us a better room. If we had known that it was almost 200 steps up to our upgraded room then we probably would have said no as we had travelled... More
