Hotel was clean, staff doesn't speak english which was a huge problem; every day restaurant has a music until 12 o'clock in the midnight and we needed to change our room since it was too noisy to sleep. Breakfast was ok.

Good value? In certain ways. Conveniently located? Yes, most certainly. Local amenities nearby? Yes, lots of shops and the horeca you might be looking for. Only 15mins walk from Karon Beach (beware the seasonal rip-tides). Friendly staff. Bungalows linked by wooden passerelles up in the trees. Not a bad swimming pool. But, and a big but: 1000TBH/ night?? Rooms were... More

The hotel is on a hillside and our 'suite' was at the very back in an old 70's delapidated building. We're not the picky types because we usually treat the hotel as a place to crash as we like to venture and explore during the day. So when we say Kata Garden Resort is the worst hotel we've ever stayed in, we mean it! The first impression wasn't too bad, the staff don't even speak basic English, which is not... More

Upon check-in, Kata Garden Resort looks like a beautiful place. Set in the hill side with wooden walk ways and lush green. Truely a garden resort. Then come the real picture. The rooms are shabby at best. Our room looks run down, lights are very dim and the door even have holes because the wood is rotting away. Netting on... More

stayed here as were looking for accommodation that was not a concrete hotel. Kata Garden was lovely to look at, nice individual bungalows in garden surroundings. Accommodation is basic but comfortable and it has quite a nice small pool. Good location as well between kata and karon beach set in its own little town on the small hill - preferred... More
