Stayed for 2 nights in August. Friendly staff. It is a basic room but was very clean and all was working just fine. It's not the fancy place with pool but a nice and clean place to stay for 2 or 3 nights. It is a great location for Nightlife and all you need. I will surely go there again... More

Cost 500 baht for twin room with air con, very reasonably priced. This was during low season, unsure of prices during high. Great location, near night life but far enough away so that you're not disturbed by it when trying to sleep. The rooms were of decent size and had a TV and spacious bathroom. Were quite a lot of... Oh my God! The worst place ever! What is wrong with the people who write good reviews about this place - have they traveled enywhere else in the world?! Stuff unfreandly and rude. In the room so many cockroaches I couldn sleep (one was on my bed during the night)! I would ask Lonely Planet not to write lies in... More

This little hotel was so nice! It's located a bit farther from the beach, but good because it was away from all the craziness that takes place at night. It was still only a 5 minute walk to the beach. The rooms are set back from the main road along a garden walkway. They were nice and clean and had... More

Easily the worst place I stayed in Thailand. Found in a Lonely Planet book, so figured it had to be fine. The woman (I think owner) was the rudest, meanest person I encountered in the country. Surly as I paid her cash, argumentative when I questioned the contants of my minibar vs. the inventory sheet. As for the room, it... More

Rooms were dirty and full of ants. Sheets were not changed even if asked. Staff very unfriendly. Even with a cheap price I cannot recommend to stay in there.

Arrived in Patong in November 2009 after travelling from Ko Samui. Turned up at Capricorn on spec, and managed to book three weeks there. The service was lovely, the staff were really helpful and always smiling. Our rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard, the cleaners were also lovely. We ended up staying another few weeks as we were... More

The staff at the Capricorn was magnificent. We moved out of our previous accommodation in Phuket-M's Guesthouse-due to a very bad experience, only to be welcomed with true Thai hospitality here. The rooms are standard for hostel, but do contain a stocked bar fridge. the coffee shop outside-part of the capricorn hotel-makes the BEST coffee, and next door is the... More

I don't know where you have read about tennis court. Of course there is no such thing. Must be a mistake. I have stayed now three times at Capricorn and I have never experienced that the gate to K-hotel was locked, low or peak season. I just learnt that some new rooms have been built. I don't know anything about... More
