Very nice bungalows with aircon in the greenery of the forest was a respite after Bangkok. The garden and the rice paddies are beautiful, The constant sound of running water and the bamboo tubes making vey special sounds (you have to see and hear it to understand) made our stay very relaxed. The pool is also nice. Food is nice,... More

The resort is just outside Mae Hong Son, and is not a walking distance from town. The resort is very beautiful, and the plants and gardens in it, gives you a feeling of a tropical jungle just outside your room. The rooms are not that modern, yet big and clean. We had WiFi in our room but not TV. If... More

big plus : - the people running the resort (genuine friendly) - the setting (well kept jungle garden) - surroundings (very quiet, in the middle of nature - but still close to town) - the food (very good, excellent breakfast) - the drinks (at the fantastic rice terrace) could be better - the pool : the water is bit acid... We only had 1 night at this resort but would have loved to stay longer. The entire place is beautiful and the nature around is outstanding. The staff were just delightful and we loved that we got our own dog to guide and guard us. A sunset drink looking over the rice paddies was a memory I will cherish. Hope... More

I booked a very modestly priced room at the last minute using Booking.com. When we arrived we were upgraded to a suite and escorted to a little private villa/bungalow. The room was beautiful and the setting extremely peaceful. We looked out into the forest and fell asleep to the sound of a babbling brook that runs thru the property and... More

We booked a deluxe room with breakfast through Agoda at 1500 baht per night and were upgraded to a suite on arrival. Peace and tranquillity resonated throughout our stay at Fern Resort. Whilst the place is not without its flaws the good far outweighs the bad. The resort itself sits on several acres of a beautifully manicured tropical landscape with... More

We were three adults and one toddler to stay two nights. It is by far the best hotel we encountered in our week long car drive through the Mae Hong Son province, at a very reasonable price (1300THB/night). We had no idea about the celebrities staying there until we saw the pictures at the reception desk. We rank it 5/5... More

This resort is really far from town. We heard about Brad & Angelina's visit to this resort, but it seems like this is the only reason why people flock to this resort. The ambiance is nice, and the resort is very big. The shuttle service is also very helpful. I wish there were more amazing things I can say about... More

My husband and I have been going to Fern Resort since 2000, and it's been a privilege watching it change and grow. The pretty garden originally planted has grown lush and gorgeous, and bungalows extend all along the rice fields. As noted by some TA reviewers, it's not for everyone. If you want abject luxury, and a fawning staff, you... More

The hotels claim to fame is that Angelina Jollie and Brad Pitt had stayed at this Eco resort, I can only presume that was many years ago. The place is in need of an entire refurb, the rooms whilst clean are way past thier sell by date, our bathroom had an ant problem to say the least. There is no... More
