I love this place - choose the rooms away from the traffic. So room starting with 207 to 215 onwards on the second floor are quite. Rooms on the second floor are newer. No lifts though and no tea making facilities or hair dryer. For that price, it is worth the stay. The staff are friendly though they don't speak... More

If it was possible to rate this hotel 3.5 stars I would have, as it was certainly clean and comfortable with very spacious rooms. Points taken off however, for the noise at night as there is some sort of club on the premises. We only stayed here for 1 night and it was booked through Untouched Thailand, so I'm unable... More

This room was booked for us by Untouched Thailand as part of the 7 day tour we booked with this company. We have no idea how much the room cost so we cannot say whether it is a cost effective hotel but I can say that the room was spacious, clean and had heaps of hot water. The bed was... More

I stayed there two nights and I felt it was not good value for money. The location was excellent but the rooms old and worn and I found it difficult to sleep due to music nearby at night (even with earplugs) and early workers. I'm sure the facilities would not be better than most hostels in Chiang Mai. The staff... More

I stayed here for one night in June 2013. I am glad that it was only for one night. On the positive side though, the location was good with an easy walk to the lake and the shopping areas. Also, the room was very clean and nicely presented with the towels folded up like elephants (as per the pictures on... More

We arrived in Mae Hong Son without reservations a few days before New Year's day. My wife had done some research and we'd talked to a few folk on prior days, so had a short list...most were outside of town. Baiyoke Chalet turned out to be the perfect spot for a 1 night stay in town. It is RIGHT next... More

Location wise, for me it's one of the best positions in the town, and with a decent car park. The room was clean, and the furniture good quality, the staff were on hand with a smile when the internet played up. The accommodation I was billeted in is/was too small, it is not 25 square meters as advertised. The room... More

I stayed here only a few nights, because I wanted to be in the town centre within easy walking distance of the lake. The hotel is large, with many rooms and a beautiful garden. Airport transfers are included with the room price, which is great, although admittedly the airport is not far from the town centre, in fact you could... More

We found the Baiyoke Chalet to be, on balance, surprisingly good. There weren't many guests, and I think the staff booked us into two of the largest rooms -- which was fine with me. The rooms were spacious and well furnished, and everything -- plumbing, air conditioning, wifi -- worked smoothly. We had balconies facing the Kong Mu hill, with... More

If you know the expression TiT, This is Thailand you will know it is a comment on some of the unique goings on in Thailand and that to me is how the Baiyoke Chalet Hotel seems to be. The hotel is situated pretty much in the centre of Mae Hong Son and right across from the evening street market so... More
