My girlfriend and I traveled up to Pai on the advice of some locals without any idea where we would stay when we got there. All I can say is that we absolutely lucked out in finding this place. Pai is a very small town that hasn't been discovered yet by many travel agencies/travel websites. As of today there are only six hotels listed here on tripadvisor. Pai lies in the province of Mae Hong Son on the northern Thai border with Myanmar and it is absolutely breathtaking. The scenery is unimaginable. oNlya 3 hr bus ride from the hub of Chiang Mai, but it feels like a world away. You can use Pai to just relax, as a hub for some great tours of the north. We did both.
The resort is broken upo into little villas, so whatever rrom you get, you have a small house to yourself. They have one room and two room villas for two and four people respectively. The restaurant is great, they have a full spa, can set you up with any tour you could possibly want, and the staff are some of the nicest... more
