This hotel was originally built in 1989 as a set and headquarters for Hollywood movies “Air America” and “ The Quest”. The reception area/gardens/pool/outdoor seating areas are beautiful, quite spectacular in places, however urgent maintenance is required! The same could be said of the rooms. They are a good size (we had 2 double rooms, one for us and one... More

Hotel looks nice from the street - but looks aren't everything! Our room was shabby, bathroom door did not close properly, curtains in the room could not be closed so we had no privacy at all from buildings out back, shower was just a curtain that dragged across a corner of the bathroom so water would run everywhere. No working... More

Stayed for one night as part of a three days tour. I can not compare with other hotels in Mae Hong Son but there must be cleaner and less dated facilities available in the same price range. It is a shame really because it could be such a beauty with a bit more TLC and friendlier staff.

We stayed on this place for only one night and below are the highlights: -- property looks nice but old -- restaurant, we ordered some food from the menu in the restaurant but they brought us something completely different because they said they did not have some of the ingredients, odd (it didn't taste good). We also ordered coca cola,... More

Arriving late on a Big Buddah Day, ( the beginning of Lent), we were happy to find the place open. It is huge and probably caters to groups and tours. Room is okay, beds all right, airco and hot water. What we requested. Everything is very ancient, and though clean looks shabby. Towels clean, but had been white a very... More

Hotel was fairly clean, but very dated. My A/C worked, but the A/C in my friend's room did not work at all. The bathroom does not have a separate area for the shower, just a curtain to pull around, so the whole floor gets wet. The toilet ran but I managed to fix it myself. There are a few places... More

Stayed only one night, the bed was impossible to sleep in as wires in the bed were sticking through. Room was very dated and over priced, really do not stay here, you will regret it.The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was okay. Sadly they are the only good points about this place. Have a look around the... More

Kind staff and a trendy patio with a kitsh decorate that I loved. Nevertheless, the room seems a monastery room and the bathroom becomes all wet when you take a shower. It's a litlle bit far from the lake. There is nothing TO do at Mae Hong Song at nigjht.Missing Pai! So, if you come near the city TO see the... More

We incidentally stoped by at this hotel and they discounted from THB 3,500 to THB 2,000 for suite room (that they called) so we decided to stay. Very bad dream started from terrible hot water as it didn't work even we used only the hot one but the water was very cold and it's winter! Air-conditioning was noisy when its... More
