I stayed there in 2008, it was a great experience. All those huge teak houses, in this huge garden, next by the sea, at the bottom of limestone cliffs. I loved it. I passed by again a month ago, and it remains the same, with new houses however. The only issue now is the price... I know they don't smoke... More

It's such an unusual place to stay (i.e. in peoples homes) and with it comes a better and more enjoyable experience than staying in the normal 'resort' or hotel type of accommodation. The ride over in the boat is a bit rough if the weather's not clear, so be prepared to get WET! You also have to wade out to... More

Just back from a family trip to Ralei Beach Club (RBC) and it has inspired me to write my first tripadvisor review despite regular travel. RBC is a special place - luxurious, relaxed, friendly, interesting, different, natural and beautiful. We stayed in house 7 and it had lots of different areas which meant I could relax in the hammock overlooking... More

Railei beach is beautiful, with excellent climbing, kayaking, and snorkeling all around. The railei beach club offers the perfect accomodation from which to enjoy all this, or, if feeling less active, to kick back and relax on the veranda or at the clubhouse's bar. The houses are open, with great decks, and are set on amazing grounds. Service is excellent.... More

I stayed with my partner in the guest house of house number 7 and loved everything about it. If you don't want to stay in a typical resort with identikit rooms this really is the place for you. The grounds are spectacular, set against a backdrop of sheer limestone cliffs and all the houses are nicely spread out to ensure... More

This is one of the few remaining destinations that has not yet been destroyed by commercialism. Please only go here if you are NOT looking for a 7Eleven / Tuk Tuks / fluorescent lights / doof doof music or a McDonalds.... This is a space for the traveller in need of some peace & quiet in beautiful surroundings with like... More

Over a 3 week holiday through Thailand (Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Phi Phi & Railay), our time at Railay and our nights at the Railei Beach Club was a real highlight. My partner and I stayed in Club House 3 (Baan Chom Daow) and loved ever second of our stay. The club house was decorated in a really nice, simple thai... More

It's tough being an old-school traveller who's getting on a bit. You want a few more creature comforts for youself (and the young kids you've acquired along with a proper job and a mortgage!). Yet you're still craving atmosphere and adventure and proof in your surroundings that you're not in some bland resort that could be anywhere. That's where Ralei... More

This place is gorgeous. A really special alternative to the typical resort style accommodation. Amazing wooden homes of all different sizes in a beautiful, tranquil jungle setting. Each home has lovely touches that include semi outdoor showers, complimentary drinking water and books for you to read while you're there. Loved this place. RBC has a great bar that includes a... Stayed for 2 nights at number 14 house. The house was very private with nice views of the rock formations, big balcony to relax, nice outdoor shower with hot water, DVD with lots of movies, and authentic room design. The grounds are nice as well. The issue we had was with the constant noise of the tail boats, even at... More
